(Minghui.org) Some practitioners have experienced difficulty in circumventing the Internet censorship in China. I would like to share some of my understandings on this issue.

I used to often browse the Minghui website, and others with uncensored news about China, after work and late into the evening. I then sent forth righteous thoughts and went to sleep. As a result, I had no time to study the Fa or do the exercises.

The communist regime censors the Internet as a part of the persecution of Falun Gong, but I believe that if we become obsessed with web browsing, the old forces may exploit this attachment and block the Internet.

In my understanding, browsing Minghui.org in itself isn’t an attachment, as it’s a platform for reading Master's new lectures, sharing our cultivation experiences with one another, and exposing the brutal persecution.

However, if we spend too much time on it, leaving no time for Fa study, doing the exercises, or clarifying the facts, it would be a big problem, as those are the most important three things that practitioners should do.

There is similarly nothing wrong with practitioners browsing news articles to stay informed about current affairs. But it would be wrong if we spenT too much time on this.

Most of the news articles are meant for the general public. If we become preoccupied with certain social events, the old forces might use this as an excuse to further block the Internet.

If we let go of our attachment to web browsing and manage our time well to do the three things, I believe the Internet will remain unblocked.
