Additional Persecution News from China – December 4, 2019 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Li Aiyan and Mr. Victor Wang Arrested

Ms. Li Aiyan, 78, from the Pudong New Area was arrested on November 1, 2019, when she was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Li was taken to Zhangjiang Detention Center the following day for eight days.

Mr. Victor Wang from Qibao Town, who is biracial and half Bulgarian, was arrested on October 30, 2019, for calling people and talking to them about Falun Gong.

2. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Shi Chunrong Detained

Mr. Shi Chunrong from the Huinong District was arrested in July 2019 for distributing Falun Gong materials in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He is being held in Shizuishan City Detention Center.

3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Meihua Arrested

Ms. Zhao Meihua from Mengwu Village was arrested by officers from Shengliqiao Police Station on the evening of December 3, 2019. When her son tried to reason with the police, the officers arrested him and another person who was visiting.

4. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Guiying and Ms. Zhu Lanxiu Facing Trial

Ms. Li Guiying and Ms. Zhu Lanxiu are due to be tried in the Yongchang County Court on the morning of December 5, 2019.

Mr. Yin Baohe was reported to the police by residential community guards on November 20, 2019, for posting Falun Gong materials. He was arrested, and his home was ransacked by officer Bai Xuejian and others from Beita Police Department. He is being held in the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

Mr. Pan Yufeng and Mr. Zhang Wei were arrested at the same time.

6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Honglan and Ms. Tong Shujuan Detained

Ms. Chen Honglan and Ms. Tong Shujuan were arrested by officers from Zhanqian Police Station on September 2, 2019, for posting Falun Gong materials in front of Benxi Station.

They were both detained for 15 days. Ms. Chen was released, while Ms. Tong was taken to Bailou Women's Detention Center.

7. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liu Huirong Detained

Ms. Liu Huirong from Nanren Township, Wugong County, was arrested by officers from Wugong 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and Nanren Police Station on August 26, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Liu is being held in Qindu District Detention Center.

8. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Lu Anmin’s Verdict Upheld

Ms. Lu Anmin was sentenced to a three-year prison term in the Lianhu District Court. She appealed, but Luo Chengxing, a judge on the Xi’an City Intermediate Court, rejected her appeal and upheld the original verdict.

Mr. Zhou Dianwen from Dalianhe Coal Mine was arrested by Yang Weixing, head of the Yilan County Domestic Security Division, and other officers on November 22, 2019.

Ms. Yu Ping, Ms. Feng Shuhuan, Ms. Wu Yanbo, Ms. Dai Shihua, and Ms. Dai Shiling from Wanggang Town in the Nangang District were arrested on April 22, 2019.
