(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 36 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Shaoping Detained

Ms. Liu Shaoping from the Qingpu District was arrested by officers from the Qingpu Domestic Security Division in late October 2019. She is being held in Shanghai City No. 1 Detention Center.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Gao Guixia Arrested

Ms. Gao Guixia from the Songshan District was followed and arrested by plainclothes officers who were staked out at her apartment building on the afternoon of November 27, 2019.

3. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison; Seven Others Detained

Ms. He Wen, 70, was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term by Dongcheng District Court on the morning of November 25, 2019. She is being held in Dongcheng Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Yanmiao was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 7,000 yuan by Dongcheng Court on November 25. She was handcuffed and taken away by bailiffs.

Ms. Li Luying, Ms. Fu Yamin, 76, Ms. Zheng Yunyun, 75, were each sentenced to an 18-month prison term on the same day.

Ms. Wang Hong, 78, Ms. Wu Ye, a practitioner surnamed Ren, and Mr. Wang Shunli, 69, remain in custody. No verdict has been announced.

Mr. Shi Shaoping from the Yanqing District was arrested on November 18, 2019. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, printer, and cell phone. Mr. Shi is being held in Haidian District Detention Center.

Ms. Yan Ling from the Chaoyang District was arrested by officers from Datun Police Station on October 6, 2019. She is being held in Beijing No.1 Detention Center. Her case has been turned over to the Procuratorate.

Ms. Yang Wen, 57, from the Shijingshan District, was arrested near Changsha City Train Station, Hunan Province, by officers from Tianxin Police Department on August 2, 2019. She was placed under criminal detention before being officially placed under arrest by the Yuelu District Procuratorate in Changsha on September 12. She is being held in Changsha No. 4 Detention Center.

4. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Ji Detained

Mr. Liu Ji, 68, from Hama Village, Xiyang Town, was arrested by officers from Huangyu Township Police Station in the early hours of November 12, 2019, for hanging Falun Gong banners. He is being held in a detention center.

5. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tan Zhongxiu Arrested

Ms. Tan Zhongxiu, in her 80s, was arrested by officers from Chengxi Police Station on the morning of November 24, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. The officers confiscated the materials she was carrying.

6. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Cases of Three Practitioners Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Deng Wanying, Ms. Lei Huanying, and Ms. Luo Taihui, from Texing Town, Longmatan District, were arrested by Lu County Domestic Security officers on the morning of August 21, 2019. They were taken to Naxi District Detention Center. Their cases have been turned over to the Lu Procuratorate.

7. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Minglan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhou Minglan was tried by Huangdao District Court in the Pudong Public Security Supervision Agency on the morning of September 18, 2019. She was recently sentenced to a 14-month prison term and fined 3,000 yuan.

8. [Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Feng Detained

Ms. Shi Feng was arrested by officers from Huaihailu Police Station, Qingjiangpu District, on November 8, 2019. She was taken to Huai’an City Detention Center for ten days.

9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Peng Xiuli Taken to Prison

Ms. Peng Xiuli was taken to the No. 13 Section, Strict Management Ward, Shijiazhuang Women's Prison on November 17, 2019.

10. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qi Xifen and Ms. Gao Meili Detained

Ms. Qi Xifen, 69, and Ms. Gao Meili, 46, from Matou County, Fucheng County, were arrested by the head of Matou Town Police Station and other officers on the morning of November 27, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong at Dalongwan Farmers' Market.

Both practitioners were taken to Fucheng County Detention Center for seven days.

11. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Hong and Ms. Chen Xiumei Arrested

Ms. Liu Hong and Ms. Chen Xiumei were taken to a police station by someone hostile to Falun Gong on November 27, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution.

12. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoling and Ms. Wang Hongxia Detained

Ms. Liu Xiaoling and Ms. Wang Hongxia from Wuwan Village were arrested on November 26, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They were taken to Chuhe Police Station and later transferred to Yuzhou City Detention Center.

13. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Elderly Couple Mr. Ma and Ms. Cao Arrested

Elderly couple Mr. Ma and Ms. Cao from Jianghu Farm were arrested on November 19, 2019, and taken to Zhanggang Town Police Station. They were transferred to Tianmen City two days later.

14. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Ma Xiaoyan Detained

Ms. Ma Xiaoyan was arrested on November 20, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She is being held in Xishui County Detention Center.

15. [Shaodong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan and His Wife Ms. Li Feiyan Detained

Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan and his wife Ms. Li Feiyan were arrested by officer Long Yanyun and others from Shaodong County Domestic Security Division on October 6, 2019. The couple's Falun Dafa books, computer, and printer were confiscated.

Mr. Zeng was taken to Shaodong Detention Center and was officially placed under arrest on November 14.

Ms. Li was taken to Shaodong Detention Center for 15 days but was transferred to the Yangjialong No. 1 Detention Center on October 22. She was released on bail on November 14.

16. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Fuchun Detained

Mr. Liu Fuchun, 55, was arrested by officers from Yuelu District Domestic Security Division on August 8, 2019. He was officially placed under arrest by the Yuelu Procuratorate on September 12, and is being held in Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center.

17. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Weizhen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Sun Weizhen, 79, was arrested by officers from Xianwei Police Station on June 15, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was tried by the Zhen’an District Court on August 28 and sentenced to a six-month prison term.

She collapsed on November 1 in the detention center. Her blood pressure was very high. She was released on bail on November 5.

18. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Sun Shutang Taken to Prison

Mr. Sun Shutang from Zhaodong City was taken to the Intensive Training Team, Hulan Prison, on the morning of November 26, 2019.
