(Minghui.org) A woman in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province was sentenced to four years in prison for her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Lin Jinli, 42, was arrested on April 24, 2019 while sending her 15-year-old daughter to school. The police also ransacked her home.
It was reported that the police had monitored her cellphone for months before arresting her.
The Daowai District Procuratorate approved her arrest on May 5, 2019. She appeared in Daowai District Court on August 28, 2019 and was sentenced in early October 2019. She appealed to Harbin City Intermediate Court on the same day of receiving the verdict.
Ms. Lin’s daughter often cries after her arrest. Her husband struggles to balance work and caring for their daughter. The police has also harassed him from time to time.
