Pursuit of Faith and Liberty Is Not a Dafa Cultivator's Goal
(Minghui.org) As the Fa-rectification advances and with the ongoing Hong Kong protests, the anti-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) hatred has become more fierce, and given us more opportunities to participate in everyday people’s large-scale events. I’ve learned that some practitioners speaking at these events would focus on faith and liberty as the main goal of Falun Dafa practitioners.
My personal understanding is that faith and liberty is everyday people’s pursuit. As practitioners, we should be clear that the persecution of Falun Dafa has deeper reasons. Talking about faith and liberty is just catering to people's pursuit.
Communist China has never allowed true freedom or beliefs. Yet, Falun Dafa was able to spread there before the Party began its persecution in 1999. As I see it, the confrontation is between goodness and evil, and not about freedom of belief. The old forces intend to destroy the world and prevent people from being saved.
If practitioners speak on their own behalf, and do not represent Dafa, it’s not a problem to focus on the topic of faith and liberty. It is also not an issue to talk about the CCP's violation of belief and persecution of human rights when clarifying the truth.
When we are speaking on behalf of Dafa, however, we should mainly elaborate on our appeal to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa, to request the release of all practitioners who are detained, and bring Jiang Zemin to justice.
