Japan: Falun Gong Practitioners Welcomed at Community Fall Festivals
(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Hiroshima held activities to introduce Falun Gong during fall festivals in the East Hiroshima Art and Cultural Center, Gionshi Cultural Center, and Hiroshima City Plaza for Town Development through Citizen Exchange November 9 and 10, 2019.
They demonstrated the exercises, made origami lotus flowers, and distributed information about the ancient spiritual practice. Many people came to their booths and took flyers.
East Hiroshima Art and Cultural Center
At the East Hiroshima Art and Cultural Center, practitioners gave a traditional waist-drum performance and demonstrated the exercises at the annual fall festival. Many people followed along and did the exercises with them. Practitioners distributed flyers with information about the practice and taught people how to make origami lotus flowers.
Showcasing Falun Gong During the Fall Festival at the Gionshi Cultural Center
During the fall festival at the Gionshi Cultural Center, practitioners demonstrated the exercises on stage and then held a teaching workshop. A group of volleyball players learned the exercises. An elderly gentleman with a cane did the exercises even though he had to sit. Everyone said they felt very relaxed and warm after doing them.
Four local residents have been coming to the center to do the exercises together for seven years.
Hiroshima City Plaza for Town Development
Practitioners were invited to demonstrate the exercises on stage during the fall festival at the Hiroshima City Plaza for Town Development through Citizen Exchange. They also demonstrated the exercises outside the entrance to the main building and crowds of people stopped and watched. Many followed along and started to learn them.
A video of Master Li's exercise teaching the exercises was played at the Falun Gong booth. Some people learned the exercises by watching the video. Many also took introductory flyers.
