(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Chunhui Sentenced to a Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Li Chunhui, in her 40s, from the Gongnong District, was arrested by officers from Xiangyang Police Department and Guangming Police Station on April 26, 2019. She was prosecuted by the Xing’an District Procuratorate across district boundaries in early October.

Ms. Li was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Xing’an Court.

2. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jianchun Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Jianchun was tried on October 25, 2019, and sentenced to a 15-month prison term and fined 2,000 yuan. She has since appealed.

Ms. Li is still being held in Jimo Detention Center.

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Hongqin and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Gong Hongqin and her husband from the Fengman District in Jilin City were arrested on the morning of August 10, 2019, just before boarding a train at Jilin Train Station. They were heading for Nanjing City in Jiangsu Province.

The officers found Falun Dafa books and information about Falun Gong when they searched her bag.

The couple were interrogated for over three hours, before being released.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinping Detained

Ms. Chen Jinping, in her 70s, from the Jiang’an District, was arrested on September 29, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in Erzhigou No. 1 Detention Center, Dongxihu District.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Wenci’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Zhang Wenci, 72, from the Shuimutiancheng Residential Community, Hongqiao District, was arrested at home on September 10, 2019. Her place was ransacked. She was placed under criminal detention for a month in the Hongqiao Detention Center, and was officially placed under arrest on October 16.

Her case was turned over to the Hongqiao Procuratorate by Xihu Police Station.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yuansheng Facing Trial

Mr. Liu Yuansheng is due to be tried at Shenhe District Court on the morning of November 7, 2019.

7. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuxia Detained

Ms. Wang Yuxia was arrested by officers from Tumen City Domestic Security Division and Shixian Police Station on October 23, 2019. She is being held in Hou’anshan Detention Center for 15 days.

8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Fan Detained

Ms. Liu Fan was arrested on October 20, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being detained.
