The parade kicked off at 11 a.m., near San Francisco's scenic Fisherman's Wharf. The parade departed from Embarcadero Avenue and headed towards Jefferson Street. In addition to the US Navy, Army, and Air Force bands, a variety of bands and flag teams participated. Tens of thousands of people lined the parade route.
The Tian Guo Marching Band performed Falun Dafa Is Good, Sacred Song, and Triumph. Spectators greeted the band with warm applause. Many took photos.
Host: “They are outstanding”
Wallace Levin, the host organizer of the parade, remarked, “The Tian Guo Marching Band is great! They are outstanding. Their performance is graceful. Their costumes are nice. I hope they come again next year.”
Retired judge Quentin Kopp said, “The Tian Guo Marching Band is the best.”
Retired judge Quentin Kopp from San Francisco, is a Korean War Veteran. He was invited to view the parade from the observation stage. He said, “The Tian Guo Marching Band is the best band. They are professional and spend a lot of time rehearsing. I admire them.”
US Army Colonel Doug Bullard praised the Tian Guo Marching Band's performance.

US Army Colonel Doug Bullard said that every year this event is a reminder about those who contribute to freedom. Speaking of the Tian Guo Marching Band, he said, “They are very good. I am very happy to see Falun Gong here. We appreciate their performance.”
USAF retired Colonel Deborah Dacumos and Mr. Ken Eisen commended the Falun Gong entry in the San Francisco Veterans Day parade.
Post Commander Raymond Wong of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 91st Division/Chinatown Post 4618 said he was happy to see Falun Gong practitioners in the parade.
Vice Commander and Service Officer of VFW Post 8036, Terry Murphy of San Francisco said, “The Falun Gong team is awesome! I admire their cause.”
Terry Murphy, Vice Commander and Service Officer of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8063, participates in the Veterans Day parade every year. He said that Veteran's Day is international and that it is a time to thank the soldiers for their dedication.
As he watched the Tian Guo Marching Band pass the observation stage, Commander Murphy said, “The Falun Gong team is awesome. I like them. Their performance is great!” He added, “I support Falun Gong. I admire their cause.”
