(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guijun and Ms. An Yuhua Arrested
5. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shi Weihua Arrested
6. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Lu Shoumei Detained
7. [Huiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhou Qin Arrested
8. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Jingchun Detained
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xiaoxiong's Prison Sentence Upheld

1. [Mengzi City, Yunnan Province] Ms. He Lianchun Detained Soon After Being Released

Ms. He Lianchun, in her late 60s, was arrested on September 27, 2019, after recently being released from prison. She is being held in the Honghezhou Detention Center.

Ms. He has been imprisoned twice before. Once for seven years, and then for ten years.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Lu Mingfang Detained; Ms. Sheng Xiuyun Arrested

Ms. Lu Mingfang, 46, from Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province went to Beijing for work in 2018. She was arrested on September 28, 2019, and is being held in the Liucun Town Detention Center in the Changping District. She has not been allowed any visitors.

Ms. Sheng Xiuyun was arrested on September 29.

3. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jihong Detained

Ms. Zhang Jihong was arrested by officers from the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division in early October, 2019. She is being held in the Suizhong Detention Center.

4. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guijun and Ms. An Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guijun, 70, and Ms. An Yuhua, 66, were arrested on the morning of September 26, 2019, and taken to the Huanren County Police Department. They were released later that afternoon.

5. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shi Weihua Arrested

Mr. Shi Weihua was arrested on September 28, 2019. His whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Lu Shoumei Detained

Six officers broke into Ms. Lu Shoumei’s home on the evening of September 13, 2019. They confiscated Falun Gong books, and took Ms. Lu to the Binjiang Police Station.

They cuffed Ms. Lu's hands and feet to a metal bench for 20 hours at the police station, and did not allow her to eat or drink. Her legs became swollen.

Ms. Lu was taken to the Wuhu City Detention Center at round 4:00 p.m. the next day, with her hands cuffed behind her back. She was humiliated and beaten by Binjiang police officers on the way there. Ms. Lu was detained for 7 days, and released on September 21.

7. [Huiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhou Qin Arrested

Ms. Zhou Qin has been arrested.

8. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Jingchun Detained

Twelve officers from the Weiyuanlu Police Station in the Chengguan District broke into the home of Mr. Yang Jingchun’s mother on the afternoon of September 17, 2019. They confiscated Mr. Yang’s Falun Gong books, notebook computer, printer, cell phone, and other personal belongings. They waited there until 6:00 p.m. for Mr. Yang to return home, and then arrested him.

Mr. Yang was held in the Yaoshuping Detention Center for 15 days. Instead of releasing him on October 3, Weiyuanlu Police Station officers took him to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. However, the brainwashing center refused to admit him because his blood pressure was too high.

He was later released.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xiaoxiong's Prison Sentence Upheld

Mr. Liu Xiaoxiong, 33, a software engineer, was sentenced to an 18-month prison term and fined 3,000 yuan by the Ganjingzi District Court on July 8, 2019. He appealed to the Dalian City Intermediate Court, but the original verdict was upheld on September 16.

Judge Yin Chuanmao at the appeals court attempted to block Mr. Liu's family from defending him. He demanded that they provide proof that they do not have criminal records, which is not required by law.
