(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 36 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Qing Sentenced to an Eleven-Year Prison Term

Mr. Liu Qing was arrested on August 15, 2019. He was tried on August 27, without the court notifying his family. He was sentenced to an 11-year prison term two days later.

Mr. Liu’s wife went to the detention center to deposit money for him on August 24, but was told that her husband had been taken away. The detention center refused to tell her which prison he had been taken to.

2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Sun Hong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Sun Hong, an employee at the Changfeng Factory in the Anning District, was arrested at work by the factory Security Department staff and the Changfeng Residential community personnel on the morning of September 23, 2019. His family learned that afternoon that he had been taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Yungui Detained

Mr. Li yungui was arrested at home on the afternoon of September 17, 2019. The police confiscated some of his personal belongings. He is being held in the Wuhan City No.1 Detention Center.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Shusen and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Zhang Shusen and his wife were arrested by several plainclothes officers just before they went to work on the afternoon of September 23, 2019. Their home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books and materials were confiscated.

Mr. Zhang and his wife were taken to the Xinle Police Station. His wife returned home after 10:00 p.m. that night.

5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wu Weiming Placed in Criminal Detention

Mr. Wu Weiming was arrested in his apartment building by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station in the Yaohai District on the morning of September 20, 2019. He has been placed in criminal detention.

6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Minli Detained

Ms. Cui Minli was arrested by officers from the Jinqiao Police Station on the morning of September 24, 2019, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is being held in the Langfang City Detention Center.

7. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yuhua Held in Custody

Ms. Gao Yuhua from Baoqing County was arrested at her son’s home in Harbin City by Bai Wenbo and other officers from the Baoqing Domestic Security Division on the evening of September 24, 2019. She was taken back to Baoqing that evening, and is being held in the Beixing Police Station.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Peng Shibi Detained

Ms. Peng Shibi, 68, was arrested by officers from the Yuzhong District Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the Hualongqiao Police Station in the Jiangbei District on September 7, 2019. She is being held in the Caijia Detention Center.

9. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhan Zhongxiang, Ms. Zhang Junying, and Ms. Zhou Jun were arrested by officers from the Renzhao Police Station on September 24, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang Zengmei was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station when she visited Ms. Zhang. They were staked out near Ms. Zhang’s home. Seven or eight officers ransacked Ms. Wang’s home later that night. Ms. Wang is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

When their families went to the police station and appealed, they were beaten by the officers. Ms. Zhan’s son was injured and his eyes were bleeding.

10. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Junling Tried

Ms. Zhang Junling, 60, had her left leg amputated and has a severe dependency disability, was arrested in February 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained.

Her case was turned over to the court, and her family recently received a notification that she would be tried by the Longjing Court in the Yanbian Prefecture on September 26.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Niu Jiahui Arrested

Mr. Niu Jiahui was arrested by officers from the Pingfang District Police Department on September 24, 2019.

12. [Suifenhe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Hui Detained

Ms. Wang Hui was arrested by officers from the Jianshe Police Station on September 24, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Mudanjiang City Detention Center at around 9:30 p.m. that evening.

13. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Genfa, his wife Ms. Qiao Huarong, Ms. Liu Honglan, and Ms. Huang Chunling were arrested on September 24, 2019, and taken to the Shuyuan Police Station. The officers lied to Mr. Zhao to get his house keys. They went to his home and ransacked the place while no one was there. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, cell phones, DVDs, USB flash drives, memory cards, and a notebook computer.

Mr. Zhao was taken to the Qufu City Detention Center on September 25 for 15 days. Ms. Qiao and Ms. Liu were taken to the Jining City Detention Center. Ms. Huang was taken to the Sishui County Detention Center.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Daping Arrested

Ms. Daping, in her 50s, from Liangjiadian Town in the Jinzhou District, was arrested by officers from the Jilin Police Station on the afternoon of September 13, 2019. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and a ID card were confiscated. She returned home later that evening.

15. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Niu Yuqin Arrested

Ms. Niu Yuqin was arrested at home on September 24, 2019. Her whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Zhenhong Held in Criminal Detention

Ms. Wang Zhenhong, an employee at the Tianjin Iron Factory, was reported to the police and arrested on August 16, 2019. Her home was ransacked. She was to be held in criminal detention for 38 days.

17. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Nie Jing Detained

Ms. Nie Jing from the Taihe District was arrested by officers from the Taihe Police Station and the Taihe Domestic Security Division on September 24, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers took her house keys, went to her home, and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials. Ms. Nie was taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center.

18. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yan, about 60 years old, was arrested at home by deputy director Guo, from the Maguanqiao Police Station in the Shenhe District, and five or six other officers on the morning of September 24, 2019. Some personal belongings were confiscated. Ms. Wang was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center, but they refused to admit her because she failed their physical exam. She was released at around midnight.

19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Hongyan Arrested

Wang Tao, from the Taoyuan Police Station in Dayi County, and more than a dozen other officers broke into Ms. Li Hongyan’s home and ransacked it on the morning of September 24, 2019. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a notebook computer, tablet, and an MP3 player.

Ms. Li was arrested and taken to the police station. She was interrogated, and released later that afternoon.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Lihua Taken to Prison; Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Lihua from the Jinzhou District was arrested on August 28, 2018. She was sentenced to a three-year-and-seven-month prison term by the Jinzhou District Court, and taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison in late August 2019.

A practitioner with the last name Ding and another practitioner from the Ganjingzi District were arrested on the morning of September 24, 2019. Practitioner Ding’s home was ransacked that day. Both practitioners’ whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners, including Mr. Zhu Qidou, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, Ms. Zhang Guiyun, Ms. Chen Shoumei, and Ms. Zhou Yuhua, were arrested at home on the morning of September 11, 2019. They are being held in the Harbin City Detention Center. Mr. Zhu’s home was ransacked.
