(Minghui.org) In China, few people today believe in divine beings. Yet my undergraduate classmates and the supervisors in my work unit have agreed to withdraw their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

They quit the CCP because they learned about the brutality of the persecution against Falun Gong. When I first discussed quitting the CCP in order to have a safe future, they appeared to disbelieve my words.

Master said,

“So when you clarify the truth you absolutely must not speak at too high of a level. Right now when you clarify the truth you only need to talk about the persecution of Dafa disciples, how the evil party has been violating the human rights and the freedom of belief of the Chinese people, how historically the evil party has persecuted the Chinese people and the people of the countries belonging to the wicked Communist bloc, and how it is persecuting Dafa disciples today in the same way. And that's enough.” (from Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005)

I noticed that those who refuse Falun Gong information materials have been misled by the CCP's propaganda. Due to the CCP's intimidation, many people attempt to be evasive. During face-to-face interactions, we explain the basic facts about Falun Gong, such as the CCP-staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square, the April 25 peaceful protest in 1999 and the so-called 1,400 deaths, which the CCP has used to defame Falun Gong. We also describe the benefits of practicing Falun Gong, which include better health and raised morality. Some people then change their attitude and accept Falun Gong information.

Some people are not clear about the basic facts, though they are sympathetic to Falun Gong and have renounced their memberships in the CCP. For example, I once went to a tailor and saw a calendar printed by Falun Gong practitioners. I chatted with her. She said that Falun Gong is good.

She continued, “Otherwise, who would go to do self-immolation?” I was surprised and immediately told her that the self-immolation on Tiananmen Square was a premeditated hoax by the CCP to frame Falun Gong.

Truth-Clarification to Intellectuals

Intellectuals in China are similar to other people in their morality, regardless of the fact that they appear more refined and have higher incomes. Some have been even more misled by the CCP and do not believe in divine beings, only modern science. In China, the subject of politics is included in graduate school admission tests. Anyone who does not pass the minimum requirement in the politics test will not be admitted to graduate school.

It is also important to clarify the basic facts of Falun Gong to intellectuals. The explanation of the CCP-staged self-immolation, the April 25 peaceful protest in 1999 and the so-called 1,400 deaths must be flexible in delivery style to pique people's interest in reading or listening.

My son is a university sophomore. He said that students do not enjoy the politics classes and many do not attend them. However, few students miss their professional classes. Before the final exam, they then study politics hard for a few days. And during this process, some of them are then misled by the CCP's lies in the politics textbooks.

The lectures on current news and policies have mislead students a lot as well, as teachers talk about them by conforming to the CCP's lies and fabrications. Due to the CCP's censorship, students generally do not have any other means of learning about these issues, and this includes the current China-US trade war.

Many people in China are misled by the CCP's propaganda and hate the US and the American president. I once showed a man a calendar with images of the worldwide spread of Falun Dafa. Seeing an image of Falun Gong practitioners participating in a community parade, he expressed negative comments about the US. Seeing a parade in South Korea, he said, “South Korea is the grandson of the US.”

This man had gone to Beijing to appeal after the factory he had worked for was shut down. The police took him to a suburban area and beat him. Even after such an experience, he was still misled by the CCP's media, which reports that there are many gun shootings in the US and democracy in China would lead to chaos, etc.

I talked with him a lot. He was not against Falun Gong, but had been confused by the CCP's media reports.

I suggest that capable fellow practitioners write some articles based on current events that Chinese people are interested in. They can use these news items as talking points to clarify the truth and then allow atheist people learn about Falun Gong and awaken from the lies of the CCP's deceptive propaganda. But high-level cultivation and gods should not be mentioned.
