Additional Persecution News from China – December 26, 2018 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Guihua Faces Trial

Ms. Zhao Guihua from Liuhe County was arrested by officers from the Liuhe County Domestic Security Division on September 8, 2018. Her case was turned over to the Liuhe Procuratorate in October. She will be tried by the Liuhe County Court on December 27.

2. [Tianjin] Mr. Wu Dianzhong Arrested

Mr. Wu Dianzhong was arrested and taken to the Xiqing Detention Center on December 5, 2016. His current whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Anqing City, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Yumei Arrested

Ms. Huang Yumei, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Lingbei Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of December 18, 2018. She has returned home.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Shuting Detained

Ms. Zhan Shuting, from Xiangzikou Village, Muyudian Town, Laiyang City, was arrested at home by officers from the Muyudian Town Police Station and the Laiyang City Domestic Security Division on December 21, 2018. She was held in the Laiyang City Detention Center.

5. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Bian Xiao'e Arrested Again

Ms. Bian Xiao'e was arrested at her daughter's home on December 18, 2018. She is being held in the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhu Ya Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhu Ya, 54, disabled, from Huangpi District, was arrested by plainclothes officers on April 25, 2017. She was secretly sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan by Wang Zhiwu, a judge at the Huangpi District Court, on July 17, 2018. She was transferred to the Baofenglu Women's Prison on September 12, 2018. No family visits have been allowed.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Qingtao Officially Arrested

Ms. Liu Qingtao from Jinzhou District was arrested by officers from the Wanli Police Station, Development Zone, on October 13, 2018. She is being held in the Development Zone Detention Center. She was officially placed under arrest by the Dalian City Procuratorate on December 21.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shan Qinshu Officially Arrested

Ms. Shan Qinshu was arrested at home on the morning of December 8, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She was recently officially placed under arrest.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Liangfeng Arrested

Ms. Tang Liangfeng from Tongnan District was arrested by Zheng Gang, head of the Tongnan District Domestic Security Division, and other officers on the morning of October 31, 2018. She was detained for 15 days at the Tongnan District Detention Center. The officers confiscated all her Falun Dafa books from her home. Her son, daughter-in-law, and daughter were also arrested in exchange for their guarantee before Ms. Tang was released. They have returned home.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Qian Yanping Arrested

Ms. Qian Yanping from Tongnan District was arrested around November 12, 2018. Her whereabouts is unknown.

11. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Lu Xinyang Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Lu Xinyang was tried by the Weicheng District Court on December 5, 2018. She was recently sentenced to one and a half years in prison.
