Falun Dafa is a self-improvement system introduced to the public in 1992. Many of the practitioners were elementary and middle school teachers. These educators guided themselves with the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and devoted themselves to teaching and their students.

They were highly respected by their colleagues, parents and students. When the Chinese Communist Party launched the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, many of these teachers were arrested, incarcerated, tortured and died as a result, which was a great loss for the country and its future generations.

Shandong Teacher Gets Her Life Back

Ms. Tang Ruiqin retired from teaching mathematics in a middle school in Shouguang City, Shandong Province. Following the principles of Falun Dafa, Ms. Tang had devoted herself to her work and was highly esteemed by her supervisors, coworkers and students. Every year she was selected an outstanding teacher and expert teacher in math. She once represented the city to participate in a research project to reform math teaching.

Ms. Tang had breast cancer and underwent surgery. Seven years later the cancer metastasized and her uterus was removed. Her health deteriorated as the cancer spread. As she lost all hope and waited for her life to end, a practitioner gave her Falun Dafa lecture CDs in 1996.

She went through all of them immediately and miracles happened: the tumor near her shoulder was gone. In a few days she was a new person and started working. Because of this dramatic change in her health, many who knew Ms. Tang started to learn Falun Dafa.

At that time the government paid 85 to 100 percent of allocated medical funds on public servants. As a beneficiary, Ms. Tang didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. After she understood the teachings of Falun Dafa, she tore up all her 3,000 yuan receipts and said “It doesn’t make sense that the country has to pay for my illnesses. I want to be a good person.” At the time a middle school teacher’s monthly salary was between 200 and 300 yuan and the bills cost her a year’s salary.

Complete Rejuvenation from Near Paralysis

Ms. Chen Xiuzhen retired from Gaomi City in Shandong Province. She used to have severe intestinal and stomach problems and arthritis so severe that she was close to being paralyzed. She had breast tumors and also was nearly blind from tumors in her brain.

In August 1997 Ms. Chen began to practice Falun Dafa and in no time at all her ailments disappeared. The practice purified her mind as well. She used to pinch pennies so hard that she wouldn’t buy anything without bargaining. After becoming a practitioner, she never bargained and would return the extra change if the clerk made a mistake.

She used to frequently argue with her husband and his family thinking that she was mistreated. Now she carefully examined whether she did or said anything wrong when there was a conflict. She would find her mistake, correct it, and try to do better next time. Gradually her family became peaceful and happy.

A Good Kindergarten Director

Ms. Jing Fei was a director of a kindergarten in Zhaoyang City, Liaoning Province. Her younger brother introduced her to Falun Dafa in August 1995 by saying, “If I could only recommend one book in the world to you, it would be Zhuan Falun.” After listening to her brother speak about it, she felt that the book solved many of her questions about life.

Ms. Jing borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun. After reading it, her views on the world and life were turned around. She knew the purpose of life and how to live; she understood why she had to be a good person.

Before, she resented being a kindergarten teacher and thought that it was a waste of her college degree. She was lost, believing that she did not receive the respect she deserved. After she learned Falun Dafa, she let go of the negative thoughts and devoted herself wholeheartedly to the children and her work. She made changes to the teaching models for young children, which won her a good reputation in education circles.

Shortly after she practiced Falun Dafa, she gave the kindergarten back the money she falsely claimed. She refused to take gifts and money from the parents. Her honesty won approval from the parents. After the persecution of Falun Dafa started in 1999 and Ms. Jing was suspended from work, many parents came out to support her and asked for her to come back.

Ms. Jing lived with her in-laws for almost twenty years and they think very highly of her.

Teacher’s Family Benefits from Practicing Falun Dafa

Mr. Liu Jiang was the director of teaching affairs of the nine-year compulsory education school in Songjiang Town, Jiaohe City, Jilin Province. He, with his wife, mother, daughter, started practicing Falun Dafa in January 1996.

Mr. Liu’s asthma was gone after he picked up the practice. He did not tire easily when he taught and was able to take on more responsibility at work. He taught his students well by following the principles of Falun Dafa and was many times selected as an outstanding teacher. He finally became a director of teaching affairs.

His wife’s stomach used to bleed a lot and as a consequence she often went into shock. She fought with her mother-in-law and fussed about even the smallest monetary issues. By following the principles of Falun Dafa, her stomach was healed and she got along with her mother-in-law. Money was not an issue in the house anymore.

Mr. Liu’s mother had heart problems and migraines and relied on painkillers every day to stay functional. She later became completely healthy because of the practice and people often told her that she was too healthy for her age.

Mr. Liu’s daughter was only eight when she became a practitioner. She follows the principles of the teaching and knows how to be considerate and show respect for her parents, teachers and friends. Her performance at school was outstanding and she was often was the number one student.

Epilogue

Education is the foundation that a country nurtures the future generations. These teachers followed the principles of Falun Dafa and devoted themselves for the best interest of the country. Unfortunately, like other practitioners, these teachers were severely persecuted for their belief in Falun Gong.

Mr. Liu Jiang was put in a forced labor camp twice for a total of four years. He was sentenced to prison for six years and died as a consequence. His mother also died from grief caused by the persecution.

Ms. Jing Fei suffered unspeakable persecution in the past years. She was many times arrested and was brutally tortured in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years and in Liaoning Province Women’s Prison for four years.

Ms. Tang Ruiqin was many times harassed by the 610 Office and her supervisors at school. Her pay was docked and her promotion withheld. Her family lived in fear for the authorities frequently harassed them.

Ms. Chen Xiuzhen was constantly monitored, followed, and harassed by the police and school authorities. This put enormous pressure on her family. Five thousand yuan was docked from her pay.
