Additional Persecution News from China – July 30, 2018 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yaqin Arrested

Ms. Liu Yaqin from Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested in Sanhe City, Hebei Province, on July 23, 2018. She was taken back to Hegang on July 27.

2. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Xiuhua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wen Xiuhua, 69, from the Tiedong District, was arrested on October 12, 2017, by the head of the Tiedong Domestic Security Division Gao Wei, and officer Liu Weiguo from the Qimalu Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Wen was taken to the Siping Detention Center. She was sentenced to an 18-month prison term in early June 2018.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Xiufen and Ms. Feng Ruijuan Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiufen and Ms. Feng Ruijuan from the Dagang Oilfield were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 29, 2018. They were arrested by officers from the Taiping Village Police Station.

4. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Xiuqin Detained

Ms. Cao Xiuqin was arrested by a plainclothes officer for talking to the officer about Falun Gong on the morning of July 26, 2018. She was taken to the Hepinglu Police Station, and her home was ransacked.

Ms. Cao was later transferred to the Gaobeidian City Detention Center.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Ruihong Detained

Ms. Zhong Ruihong was arrested by officers from the Zhonghan Border Police Station in May 2018. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

6. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Chen Tianjie Officially Arrested

Mr. Chen Tianjie from the Luqiao District was arrested by Domestic Security officers on July 18, 2018. He was taken to the Nanshan Detention Center, and has now been officially arrested.

7. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners' Cases Turned Over to Court

Cases of Mr. Xiong Jiwei, Ms. Xiong Wenzhi, and Mr. Wang Gangqiang were turned over to the Anlu City Court by Liu Peijian, prosecutor of the Anlu Procuratorate, around July 25, 2018.

The three practitioners were arrested by officers from the Yingcheng City Domestic Security Division on November 7, 2017.

8. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Shuhui in Critical Condition

Ms. Liu Shuhui, 77, from the Yanjiang District was sentenced to prison by the Yanjiang District Court on July 10, 2018. She was in critical condition in the Jiazhou Prison by July 25.

9. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Deng Yanling and Her Son Mr. Dong Danyu's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Deng Yanling and her son Mr. Dong Danyu were arrested in mid-April 2018, and taken to a brainwashing center. Their whereabouts are unknown.
