(Minghui.org) Two men were driving around and distributing Falun Gong materials on March 18, 2018, when they were reported to and chased by police.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual and meditation practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since July 1999. For refusing to renounce their faith, many practitioners in China have been arrested, detained, tortured, and even killed for their organs.
At first, only one police cruiser followed Mr. Guo Baojun and Mr. Liu Desheng, who noticed the officer didn't have his uniform on. Soon, a second cruiser joined in the chase.
Mr. Guo and Mr. Liu did not stop right away. They then heard an officer shout, “Stop your car or we'll open fire!”
Before Mr. Guo and Mr. Liu had a chance to brake, they heard a loud sound–their rear windshield had been shattered by gunfire.
The glass fell off when Mr. Guo and Mr. Liu pulled over. One officer rushed toward them and pointed his gun at Mr. Liu's head and demanded he get out.
Both Mr. Guo and Mr. Liu had their hands cuffed behind their back and driven to Panshi City Detention Center. They were indicted on April 20.
Mr. Guo credits Falun Gong for curing his kidney problem and turning him into a calmer person. Mr. Liu, 66, has also benefited tremendously from practicing Falun Gong. As the Chinese regime has blocked all legal channels for practitioners to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong, they have turned to other means, such as passing out informational materials, to raise awareness of the persecution.
