Falun Gong Events in Boston Call for End to Atrocities in China
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Boston held activities on Copley Square on July 14, 2018, calling public attention to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners over the past 19 years.
A local resident expressed deep sympathy for Falun Gong practitioners facing the persecution in China. He asked whether they have the freedom to practice openly in the United States.
A woman told a practitioner that she had read a report about the Chinese regime’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. She said it was too cruel. She admired practitioners' perseverance and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
Dr. Phillips, who had moved from Chicago to Boston, was appalled upon learning of the organ harvesting crimes. He signed the petition and said he would follow new developments on the issue.
A young Chinese American from California was saddened by the persecution and organ harvesting crimes. She asked a practitioner, “I haven't lived in China. I don't know much about it. Are these [abuses in the persecution] real?” The practitioner told her that she had been thrown into a labor camp herself when she was in China.
She further told the young woman about the benefits of Falun Gong and why the CCP persecutes the group. The woman asked, “You look healthy. May I ask how old you are?” She was surprised that the practitioner was actually 20 years older than she looked. The woman took some introductory materials to find out more about Falun Gong.
A couple from Brazil, Ed and Gabby, signed the petition against the persecution. Ed said, “It's an issue of justice. It's so wrong for a government to persecute innocent people!”
