Washington D.C.: Young Falun Dafa Practitioners Exchange Cultivation Experiences
(Minghui.org) Young Falun Dafa practitioners met in Washington D.C. on June 19, 2018, to share how they have applied the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to become better people. “Falun Dafa teaches me not to drift with the moral degeneration. In addition, it gives me physical health, lots of energy, and a positive attitude,” said one practitioner.
Coming from Asia, Australia, and North America, these practitioners are either high school or college students, or those who recently graduated. They were very happy to be sharing their thoughts and discussing how to do better in cultivation practice.
As students, many of them face the challenges of school work. The discussion topics ranged from good time management, letting go of bad habits, consideration of others during conflicts, and telling others about the benefits of Falun Dafa at their campus, as well as the facts of the ongoing persecution of it in China.
One high school student has launched a magazine on campus, introducing traditional Chinese culture along with the facts about Falun Dafa. Similarly, Falun Dafa Associations have been formed at Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Delaware, University of Texas, and Georgia Institute of Technology. The activities include poster exhibitions, screening of films on forced organ harvesting from living practitioners for profit by the Chinese regime, and signature drives calling to stop the suppression.
The event was well received by the participants. “This platform is very good and I hope to get connected like this again in the future,” one practitioner said. “I am so happy to meet peers talking about how to follow the Falun Dafa principles to improve myself,” another one added.
