Additional Persecution News from China – June 11, 2018 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners' Cases Returned to Procuratorate

Ms. Chen Lihua from Dong'an Village, Zhoujia Town, Shuangcheng District, was arrested by officers from the Pingfang District Domestic Security Division on August 30, 2017.

Ms. Gu Guoqin, in her 70s, and Ms. Hou Xiaolan, both from Shuangcheng, were arrested on September 5, 2017.

The three practitioners' cases were turned over to the Pingfang District Court by the Pingfang Procuratorate. The court recently returned the cases to the Procuratorate.

2. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi Yuqin Detained

Ms. Shi Yuqin, 57, was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials at Hualian Supermarket on the evening of June 8, 2018. She was taken to the Baoqing County Detention Center.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiaoyun and Ms. Xu Xiaomei Arrested

Ms. Xu Xiaoyun and Ms. Xu Xiaomei were arrested by officers from the Shenyang City Domestic Security Division on May 31, 2018.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Several practitioners from the Development Zone were arrested on October 8, 2017. They have recently been tried and sentenced. Among them, Ms. Fang Fang, 54, was sentenced to a three-year prison term.

Ms. Zhou Haiyan, Ms. Jia Xiuchun, Ms. Shi Ningyao, Ms. Lin Jingping, Ms. Hu Zhiqin, Ms. Cao E, and Ms. Lai Guifang are still being detained.

5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Wang Zhi'an, Mr. Guo Shusen, Ms. Xia Deyun, and Ms. Xia Dezhen were arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Department on April 21, 2018, when seeing their relative off at the Dongying Train Station.

The four practitioners were taken to the Shengli Hospital, where they were held for over a month.

Mr. Wang has since returned home. The other three practitioners were placed under criminal detention and taken to the Niuzhuang Detention Center.

6. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Shengcai and His Wife Ms. Cai Honghua Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Ma Shengcai and his wife, Ms. Cai Honghua, were tried in the Yishui County Court on April 25, 2018.

Mr. Ma was sentence to a three-year prison term on May 15, while Ms. Cai was sentenced to an 18-month prison term.

7. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yin Jianhua Arrested

Mr. Yin Jianhua was recently arrested.

8. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Hu Baohui and Ms. Ma Yuzhong Detained

Ms. Hu Baohui and Ms. Ma Yuzhong from the Henan Oil Field were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of June 8, 2018. They were arrested by officers from the Guanzhuanggong District Police Station, and their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Hu and Ms. Ma were taken to the Nanyang City Detention Center.

9. [Chongyang County, Hubei Province] Mr. Rao Dongfeng Detained

Mr. Rao Dongfeng was arrested on May 14, 2018. He is being held in the Chongyang County Detention Center. No family visits have been allowed.

10. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Qiong Arrested

Ms. Wang Qiong was arrested at her home on the afternoon of June 7, 2018, by Liu Hua, the police assistant; Zhan Youfang; Guo Peng; and other officers from the Longganhu Farm Police Department.

11. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Huizhen Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhou Huizhen was arrested by four Suxian District Domestic Security officers on the afternoon of June 8, 2018. She was taken to a brainwashing center

12. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Zhilian and Ms. Chen Fulan Detained

Ms. Chen Zhilian and Ms. Chen Fulan from Pingxing Township were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong in Jiuli Town, Emeishan City, on June 8, 2018. They were arrested and taken to the Emeishan Detention Center.

13. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Huifen, Ms. Zhu Cuifen, Ms. Xia Meixian, and Ms. Yang Gongxiu were arrested by officers from the Xishan District Police Department on June 6, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Zhou was taken to a detention center. The other three practitioners were released because they failed the physical exam.
