Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa in Denmark, Germany, and France
(Minghui.org) Over the past weekend, Falun Dafa practitioners in several European countries attended community events to share the practice with the public and to raise awareness of the persecution. Their efforts were well received.
Folkemødet, The People's Political Festival, took place on the island of Bornholm between June 14 and 17. Falun Dafa practitioners set up a tent to offer exercise teaching free of charge and raise awareness of the suppression in China. Despite the record-breaking drought and high temperatures, about 110,000 people attended the event.
Passersby came every day to learn the exercises. High school teacher Maiane said she felt strong energy and called the practice “magnificent.” She planned to invite practitioners to her school to teach the exercises.
Chris from Stanford University in the U.S. was impressed by the slow and gentle exercises. After learning the five exercises, she felt relaxed and liked them very much. “My shoulders were tense and they are much better now,” she explained. She had heard about the persecution in China previously and said she would tell her classmates and friends about it.
Rasmus said the exercises brought him peace. He learned about the suppression in China and was shocked. He talked with a practitioner for a long time and said that the crimes being committed in China were too horrific. “We must join together to stop the brutality,” he said.
Many residents and tourists were excited to see Tian Guo Marching Band. Mr. Xu from Northeast China came to Frankfurt for a business trip. He said that the collapse of the communist party would bring peace and happiness not only to China but also the entire world.
A young man in his 20s was there as part of a tourist group. “What you said and what's written in the materials are all true,” he noted. He said he supports practitioners and commented that practitioners had worked very hard. He agreed to quit the communist party.
Practitioners went to the city center of Amiens on June 16 to tell people about the suppression in China. Neveu, who is in her 70s, talked with a practitioner for a long time to learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. She signed a petition and said, “This [forced organ harvesting] is a crime. And it's hard to imagine that people in the 21st century would do something like this. I think this inhuman practice should stop now, right now.”
Elementary student Dewas said that she knew China has a poor human rights record. “But I did not know it would be this bad. It's so terrible.” She hoped her signature would help practitioners.
Christian learned the practice on site. He said that when doing the fifth exercise, he was able to calm down as if the surrounding noise and pedestrians had no effect on him. “I feel like a new person, fresh and rejuvenated,” he added.
