(Minghui.org) I came home one day and found my mother distraught. Three police officers had shown up at her door. Without showing any identification or giving any reason for their visit, they pushed their way in and began searching through our belongings. They made a mess and ended up taking all our Falun Gong books.

My mother and I went to the police station and discovered that “Lu,” the police chief, and two other officers were responsible for the search. We told Lu the facts about the Communist Party's persecution of Falun Dafa. He said nothing while another officer threatened to call the domestic security division. We then showed them a copy of the government notice repealing the prohibition on publishing Falun Gong books. One of the officers said, “Go ahead and sue us. Who would take such a case?”

I told Lu directly, “You were in our home. You must have noticed we are poor and barely get by. You are the chief of police. If you had come to help out in some way, that would be acceptable. But you upset an elderly woman and messed up our modest home. You took our books. Is what you did a good thing?”

He lowered his head and said, “I see. You want to practice Falun Dafa. You are good people, and what you say makes sense. You should have your books back.”

He gave us back all the books they had taken. They were still in good condition. He assured us, “We kept them safe.”

Those police officers knew it was illegal to persecute Dafa; they were just following orders.

We were happy to get our books back and understood that this was a test of our diligence and faith.
