Additional Persecution News from China – May 6, 2018 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Zhang Yueqin was arrested and taken to Hebei Women's Prison on April 2, 2018. The police did not notify her lawyers or her family.

2. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Chenxuan Detained

Ms. Gao Chenxuan was recently arrested for hanging up banners, which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong on them. She was taken to the Yunnan No. 1 Detention Center.

3. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Qifeng Detained

Ms. Cao Qifeng was arrested by officers from the Madian Town Police Station on May 3, 2018, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Binzhou Police Department's Women's Detention Center.

4. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei Sentenced

Ms. Chen Xiumei, 49, was tried in the Guan County Court by the Guan Procuratorate. She was sentenced to a six-month prison term on November 26, 2017, and has since been released.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shuxiang Detained

Ms. Zhang Shuxiang has been detained for 11 months. She was transferred to the Daxing Interchange Station on April 12, 2018.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuling Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiuling was arrested by officers from the Guanshui Town Police Station on May 4, 2018, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held in the Muping District Detention Center for ten days.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Hongying and Ms. Chen Xuefen Arrested

Ms. Ma Hongying and Ms. Chen Xuefen were arrested on May 3, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Ma was released later that day, while Ms. Chen was detained in Weifang City for seven days.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Wentao Detained

Ms. Wang Wentao was arrested by officers from the Guangrong Police Station on April 22, 2018. She is being held in the Chengdu City Detention Center.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guixin's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Guixin was arrested by two officers at the local railway station on May 5, 2018. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Hongxia and Ms. Yu Guirong Detained

Ms. Wang Hongxia and Ms. Yu Guirong were arrested by officers from the Jiusan Agricultural Reclamation Bureau on April 18, 2018, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Both practitioners were held in the Nenjiang County Detention Center, and then transferred to the No. 2 Women's Detention Center in Qiqihar.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Xiuqin Arrested

Ms. Mu Xiuqin was arrested at her home by officers from the Duchang Police Station on April 24, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Mu was taken to the Changyi Detention Center, but was later released because she failed the physical examination.

12. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Jianhua Detained

Mr. Guo Jianhua was arrested by officers from the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division on May 3, 2018. He was taken to the Yantai Detention Center.

13. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Runxiao Sentenced

Mr. Wang Runxiao was sentenced to a five-year prison term. He was taken to the Shihezi City Prison in early March 2018, and has been deprived of all visitation rights.

14. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Yanbing Facing Trial

Ms. Zhang Yanbing was arrested by officers from the Lu'an Environmental Energy Police Department, Jiaoqu Domestic Security Division, and the Changzhi City 610 Office on March 15, 2018. She has been on hunger strikes to protest the persecution, and is now facing trial.

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shao Ziying and Her Husband Mr. Wang Xudong Detained

Ms. Shao Ziying and her husband Mr. Wang Xudong were arrested at their home on March 28, 2018. They were taken to the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

Ms. Shao was released on April 11 because she failed the physical examination. Mr. Wang was later transferred to Quzhong Hospital for further detention. He was deprived of family visits.

16. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Yulan and Ms. Jin Qiuju Detained

Ms. Liu Yulan and Ms. Jin Qiuju were arrested on April 22, 2018, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Liu is being held in the No. 1 Detention Center.

17. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Lu Guoqi Detained

Mr. Lu Guoqi was recently arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station, Xinxiang City State Security Bureau, and the Yanjin County Domestic Security Division, for posting couplets with information about Falun Gong on them.

Mr. Lu was detained for ten days.

Ms. Yu Yuqiong was arrested at a railway station on May 4, 2018.
