Puerto Rico: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day 2018

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Puerto Rico celebrated World Falun Dafa Day on Sunday May 13, 2018 at the historic Plaza Palmer in the city of Caguas. The Plaza, dating from 1814, faces the 1729 Cathedral “Dulce Nombre de Jesús” (Sweet Name of Jesus) and, with its aviary of giant parrots, goldfish lake, and fountain, provides residents with a charming place to gather every day.

Besides celebrating Falun Dafa Day, practitioners provided information about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, including the Chinese regime's forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience for use in transplantation surgery.

One gentleman read through the banners very slowly and with mounting disbelief—he read again the banner about the forced organ harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners and was silent for a few seconds as he digested what he had read… “This… this is diabolical…” he said gravely, his voice failing him.

A woman arrived with her daughter and watched practitioners demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises. She tried it herself, smiling quietly afterwards and commenting on how calm she felt. As she read about Falun Dafa in schools, she said, “How wonderful. I work with children who have emotional difficulties. How does one start to practice Falun Dafa?”

Another man was quite upset about the persecution in China, and said, “Why isn’t the government doing something about this? This is horrible.” He was shown a poster of House Resolution 343 and read it. He said, “Good, but we all have to do something about this.”

Gratitude to Falun Dafa

The practitioners took the opportunity to also reflect on their cultivation journeys, and on the true joy in their lives and how they feel truly blessed:

“My life now has true meaning. I have no doubts about why I am here and what my life is for… I feel Master Li’s (the founder of Falun Dafa) presence guiding me every day.”

“After much searching, I found a true way—my heart is full of gratitude.”

“Such deep gratitude fills my life that I cannot express it!”

“I am over 85 years old, and I have had two operations on my legs. I have arthritis and problems with my back, but after starting to practice Falun Dafa I feel younger, and move with such lightness that others my age cannot believe it.”

“I am a new person, no longer impulsive and combative. I feel wiser and I smile more.”

“My head was full of chaos and self-destructive negativity. After less than a year it is gone, thanks to the book Zhuan Falun”

“My life was comfortable, but empty—this is no longer so.”

The practitioners all paused to quietly remember Venerable Master’s mercy that has touched their lives.
