(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Minglan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Shi Minglan was recently sentenced to a two-year prison term by the Zhangqiu District Court.

2. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shen Huiqing Detained

Ms. Shen Huiqing was arrested in early April 2018 by officers from the Sipailou Police Station, Jingkou District. She was officially arrested, and taken to the Zhenjiang Detention Center on April 23.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Qu Xiurong Arrested

Ms. Qu Xiurong, 80, was arrested and taken by officers to the Yongdinglu Police Station on the morning of April 23, 2018. Her notebook computer, DVD burner, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zuo Yuhua, Mr. Liu Shaojun, Ms. Wu Lixian, Ms. Liu Chunyan, Ms. Zhou Shuhua, and Ms. Ji Yaxuan from Wanghua District were arrested by officers from the Jianshe Police Station at noon on April 24, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Li Yingju, from Keshan Farm, Keshan County, was taken to a detention center on April 25, 2018.

6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Xiulian, Ms. Zeng Fanying, and Ms. Wang Yiying, from Beilin District, were arrested and taken to the Beilin District Police Department by plainclothes officers on the morning of April 23, 2018. They ransacked the three practitioners' homes and confiscated computers, printers, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. The women were taken to the Suihua City Detention Center. Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang were released.

7. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Minghong Detained

Mr. Liu Minghong was arrested by officers from the Dingsi Town Police Station on the morning of April 25, 2018. He was detained for 10 days.

8. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ge Lingren Detained

Ms. Ge Lingren, from the Haiyuan Residential Community, Bohai District, was reported and arrested on April 24, 2018 for using paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on them when buying groceries at the Bohai Morning Market. She was taken to the Panjin City Detention Center.

9. [Longxi County, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Lijuan Detained

Ms. Wang Lijuan was arrested and detained on April 24, 2018.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Fengchun Detained

Mr. Liu Fengchun, from Wangjialou Village, Huangdao District, was arrested by police officers on the morning of March 20, 2018. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated all his Falun Gong books, printed materials, a computer, and a printer. He was taken to the Huangdao District Detention Center.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Wu Zhenye Arrested

Ms. Wu Zhenye was arrested at home on April 25, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Junde Detained

Mr. Wu Junde, a worker of the Xinmin City railway station, was dismissed from work in 1999 for practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Wu went to the Railway Bureau on April 24, 2018 asking to return to work. The officials called in plainclothes officers from the Nanzhan Police Station to arrest him. He was detained for 10 days.

13. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Yanxia's Health Deteriorating in Prison

Ms. Hu Yanxia has been held in the No. 5 Ward, Hebei Province Women's Prison, for over one year and two months. Her physical condition is deteriorating. She is very thin. She suffers from high blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat. She has been treated in the prison hospital.

Ms. Hu was sentenced to three years in prison by the Qiaoxi District Court on February 15, 2017. She was taken to the Hebei Province Women's Prison.

14. [Chongqing] Mr. Chen Erqi and Wife Ms. Li Zhonglan Detained

Ms. Li Zhonglan was arrested by officers from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of September 12, 2017. Upon learning about this, Mr. Chen Erqi, her husband, rushed back to Chongqing from his hometown Youyang County. He was also arrested. The couple was taken to the Youyang Detention Center.

15. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Chunyu Taken to Prison

Ms. Zhang Chunyu from Acheng District was arrested on February 25, 2017. She was taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison on April 18, 2018.

16. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xing Jingyun Arrested

Ms. Xing Jingyun, an employee at the No. 2 Oil Construction Company, Renqiu City, was arrested on the morning of April 20, 2018 by officers from the Qingta Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Qingta Township farmers market. Her car was confiscated.

Ms. Qi Shuying, Ms. Yang Xiaohua, Ms. Xu Wanxiang and Ms. Xu's son Mr. Wang Zhaoyu, from Changyi City, were arrested on the afternoon of April 24, 2018. Mr. Wang was released.

Ms. Xiao Mingfen was arrested on the morning of April 24, 2018 for talking to people about Falun Gong, and distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

18. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Bin's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Yang Bin from Pengxi County was recently arrested by officers from the Longquanyi District 610 Office and the Pengzhou Domestic Security Division. His whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ke Changyan Detained

Mr. Ke Changyan from Mingshan Township was arrested by officers from the Mingshan Township Police Station on January 16, 2016. He was taken to the Daye Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Xiuling, from Yangjiuzhuang Village, Zhuanji Town, Jieshou City, was arrested by officers from the Zhuanji Town Police Station on March 14, 2016. She was held in the Fuyang City Detention Center. It was reported that she had been taken to the Anhui Province Women's Prison.
