(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wu Juan and Ms. Wang Li from Fengcheng City in Liaoning Province were arrested and detained by police. Their families filed complaints with the police department, accusing the police of illegally entering and searching their residences. They also requested that police release the two practitioners.

Ms. Wu and Ms. Wang went to Hejiagou to clarify the facts to people about Falun Gong on February 1, 2018. The head of the village there reported them, and they were arrested by officers from Fengcheng District Police Department. The two practitioners were taken to Dandong Detention Center and have since been held there.

Ms. Wang's husband, Wei Yu’an, went to the police department to retrieve Ms. Wang's handbag two days later. The police said that it was given to Ms. Wu’s son, Li Weiji. Upon locating the purse, Mr. Wei discovered that the bank card in it was missing.

Ms. Wu and Ms. Wang's family members knew that the two practitioners did nothing illegal. They practice Falun Dafa to improve themselves and did not commit any crime. On the other hand, the police have committed crimes by arresting innocent people. So they wrote a letter of complaint about how the police violated the law.

Ms. Wu's father-in-law and daughter went to Fengcheng District Police Department to submit their letter of complaint on the afternoon of March 16, 2018. The chief said that Ms. Wu would be charged and asked them to take the letter back. They left the letter there.

Ms. Wang's sister went to the Fengcheng District Police Department on the morning of March 19, 2018. She submitted a letter requesting that Ms. Wang’s case be withdrawn. A chief there suggested that she go to the appeals department. She did, and an agent there said that he could only check about the bank card, but could do nothing else “because they were involved in politics.”
