Additional Persecution News from China – March 13, 2018 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were detained, and at least 14 were illegally arrested, 2 were sentenced to prison, 3 had their homes ransacked, and 1 was subjected to an involuntary blood sample.

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Guilan Detained

Ms. Yang Guilan, over 60, from Dongfeng New Village, was arrested by officers from the Sa District Police Department on March 11, 2018. She was subjected to seven days administrative detention and is being held at the Daqing Detention Center.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Liguo Arrested

Mr. Zhang Liguo was arrested by officers from the Sartu Railroad Police Station on the morning of March 12, 2018, after two Falun Gong books were found in his luggage at the security check point in the Sartu Railroad Station.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Che Zongyun Arrested

Ms. Che Zongyun is from Xianfeng Village, Xiangfang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested at her daughter's home in Beijing by local police on March 10, 2018.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Jiasheng Detained

Mr. Zhang Jiasheng from Jincheng Township, Shuangcheng District was arrested by Harbin Railroad police on March 10, 2018. Officers from the Jincheng Township Police Station took him back that night and ransacked his home. Li Guofu, the police station director, imprisoned him at a detention center on March 11, 2018.

5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lanqing Detained

Ms. Li Lanqing, 71, was arrested by officers from the Huojulu Police Station on the morning of March 12, 2018, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held at the Gaoxin District Police Department. She is now being held at the Tangshan City Detention Center.

6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Wenjie Detained

Mr. Yang Wenjie from Zhaoyuan City did not return after he left home on March 10, 2018. It is verified that Mr. Yang was arrested by officers from the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division and is being held at the Yantai Detention Center.

7. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Yinghui Arrested

Ms. Xu Yinghui was arrested by officers from the Xiangganglu Police Station on the morning of March 12, 2018. Her home was ransacked. Her printer and other personal items were seized.

8. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Chaoying Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Chaoying was sentenced to three years in prison and four years probation. The Liangshan County Court announced the sentence at the beginning of 2018. No trial was held.

9. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Three practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Furong, Ms. Li Xia, and Ms. Hua Ying were arrested on March 1, 2018, when they were posting Falun Gong information in the Wulongkou Scenery District.

10. [Zhangshu City, Jiangxi Province], Ms. Lu Sanxiu Sentenced

Ms. Lu Sanxiu was sentenced to three years in prison.

11. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Shen Qiaoxiu's Home Ransacked

Ms. Shen Qiaoxiu, 72, was about to take the train on the morning of March 8, 2018. At the check point, police found a copy of Zhuan Falun, an MP3 with Falun Gong exercise music, and 2 cell phones in her belongings. They then ransacked her home, took photos of her and collected blood samples by force.

12. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Tang Peilin Imprisoned

Mr. Tang Peilin was sentenced to eight years in prison. He was injured after being beaten by an inmate assigned to supervise him in the prison. He was later released on bail because of cancer. He was imprisoned again in the Wangling Prison last September.

13. [Heishui County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Rao Qiong Detained

Ms. Rao Qiong from Luhua Town was arrested on March 10, 2018, and detained for 10 days.

14. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners were arrested on the morning of March 11, 2018 when they were telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Dawan Police Station.
