Additional Persecution News from China – February 6, 2018 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yazhen Detained

Ms. Sun Yazhen, 58, was arrested by officers from the Yuebei Town Police Station on the afternoon of February 3, 2018, for telling people about Falun Gong. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and informational materials. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

2. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Lin Xi'an Detained

Mr. Lin Xi'an, from the No. 8 Zhenchai Team, Zhenchai Township, was arrested and his home was ransacked by officers from the Huanglong Police Station and the Debiao Police Station on January 2, 2018. The officers extorted over 6,000 yuan from his family. Mr. Lin was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center and held for four days.

3. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Huijuan, Ms. Sun Ping, and Ms. Qu Zhengrong were recently arrested and held in the Rizhao City Detention Center.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Guihua Sentenced to a Three Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhang Guihua from Zichuan District was arrested by officers from the Procuratorate, the Domestic Security Division, and the Songlinglu Police Station on May 13, 2017. She was recently sentenced to three years in prison.

5. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Wenfang, Ms. Su Cuirong, and Ms. Wu Baoyu were arrested on October 22, 2017 and have not been released.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chunxiao Sentenced to a Four Year Prison Term

Ms. Wang Chunxiao from Shuoguang City was arrested by officers from the Wenjia Police Station on May 13, 2017. She was sentenced to four years in prison in October 2017. She was taken to the Shandong Province Women's Prison in late November 2017.

7. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Rongzhi Detained

It was reported that Ms. Wang Rongzhi, around 70 years old, was arrested and taken to the Changzhi City Detention Center.

8. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liao Danyin's Family Member Arrested

Ms. Liao Danyin was arrested at customs when she returned to Shenzhen from Hong Kong on January 8, 2018, for carrying two copies of the book Zhuan Falun. Her husband, daughter, younger sister, and nephew tried to rescue her. They were injured after being beaten by the police. Her daughter and younger sister are now being treated in a hospital. Her husband and nephew were arrested.

9. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Meiying Faces Trial

Ms. Liu Meiying, a retired worker from the Jiangnan Machine Factory, was arrested on August 14, 2017. She was detained for a month, released, and then tried by the Yisuhe Court on February 7, 2018.

10. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Xuegui and Mr. Zhou Wei Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yang Xuegui was sentenced to a five year prison term by the Chengguan District Court on January 2, 2018. Mr. Zhou Wei was sentenced to four years in prison. They were each fined 2,000 yuan.

11. [Jingtai County, Gansu Province] Mr. Ma He Sentenced to a Four Year Prison Term

Mr. Ma He was arrested in late May 2017, and was later sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Jingtai County Court. He was taken to the Lanzhou Prison in November 2017.

12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Elderly Ms. Xie Sihong Sentenced to a Three -Year Prison Term

Ms. Xie Sihong was arrested by officers from the Xujiafang Police Station, Qingyunpu District, on the afternoon of April 20, 2017. She was taken to the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center.

She was sentenced to a three year prison term without a hearing, and taken to the Jiangxi Province Women's Prison.

13. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Sun Guangqing Detained

Ms. Sun Guangqing from Jinchanggouliang Town, Aohan Banner, was arrested on February 5, 2018. She was detained for 10 days.
