(Minghui.org) For practicing Falun Dafa, I have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After I was imprisoned in a forced labor camp for about 21 months, management asked me to return to work. This was an opportunity for me to help my colleagues understand Falun Dafa and the evilness of the persecution.
Then, after some time, my supervisor advised me and my coworkers to study hard for an exam, as this would affect our pay. On the day of the exam, I answered some questions quickly, while there were other questions that I did not know how to answer. I was the first one who turned in the exam. The director asked me if I answered all questions, and I replied, “I answered all that I knew.” He wondered why I turned in the exam early, as I could have copied some of the answers from someone else later on.
“I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner,” I said, “and I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I will prepare better next time for the questions I didn't know now.” The director nodded, and people were saying that Falun Dafa practitioners are very truthful.
Displaying the Goodness of Falun Dafa
One day, a coworker shouted that I'd tried to pull the electrical switch for no reason and kept yelling at me. I thought, “I’m a practitioner and nothing is accidental.”
Master says,
“Of course, you will not be informed of a tribulation or conflict ahead of time. How can you practice cultivation if you are told everything? It will not serve any use. They usually occur unexpectedly so that they can test one’s xinxing and make one’s xinxing truly improve. Only then can it be seen whether one can maintain one’s xinxing. Therefore, when a conflict arises, it does not occur accidentally.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
I asked the director what was going on. The director told me that this person is unstable and everyone is careful around her. Another coworker told that person that the electric switch is in the control room, and only authorized people have access. She then calmed down, after which I gave her some fruit and cookies. Our colleague appreciated my gesture of goodwill, and other co-workers began to think well of Falun Dafa because of this incident.
My cultivation environment at work improved, because I kept reminding myself that I am a practitioner and I make cultivation part of my work and life.
Coworkers Learn About the Goodness of Dafa
We were not very busy at work, which allowed me to study the Fa, do the exercises, memorize the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth.
A co-worker lived in the company dorm, because he lived too far from our workplace. When he was going to visit his home during vacation, he asked me to write down some Dafa poems for his family. Several coworkers encouraged me to do the exercises at work, and about five of them asked me to teach them the sitting meditation.
When a coworker had a conflict with our director, she said, “I wish I were a Falun Dafa practitioner. Falun Dafa practitioners do not argue with others and they are not angry with anybody.”
Then, a few trainees came to my workplace. I was very helpful, so they wanted to take me out for dinner or buy me some nice fruit, but I told them that I would not accept anything because I am a Dafa practitioner and I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I talked to them about Dafa, and one of them wanted to practice Dafa. He shouted loudly, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
Righteous Actions Bring Support for Dafa
Master says,
“…young ladies always like to apply facial makeup and want to make their complexion fairer and better. I would say that if you truly follow a cultivation practice of mind and body, you will naturally achieve that goal. It is guaranteed that you will not need to use cosmetics.” (Lecture Five, Zhuan Falun)
People who knew me said that I kept getting younger. They witnessed that practitioners benefit from practicing Dafa. Therefore, people believe me when I talk about Dafa and they quit the CCP after I talk about Dafa and how the CCP brutally persecutes Falun Dafa.
When I started at my workplace, a party secretary called me in for a discussion several times. I naturally clarified the truth to him. He understood and he told me to not hesitate to seek him out when I needed help. He even offered me a subsidy. I said, “My child and I don't need money for medical expenses. My salary is sufficient for the two of us.” He suggested that I take the subsidy and just save the money.
This allowed me to talk about the principles of Dafa. “I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” I said. “It would not be right to put subsidies into a savings account.”
Another time, he offered to get me a better paying job. I told him, “If the move is due to a business need, then I wouldn’t be against it. Otherwise, I could not accept it, because I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner. I do not want to choose my environment. I can use my own behavior to change the environment.”
After several such conversations, the party secretary said, “I have learned what Falun Dafa is from you. If you want to keep your belief, I will fully support you. I’m not afraid of losing my title.” My righteous behavior made this party secretary understand the truth.
Facing Adversity
Once, a supervisor asked me to come to his office. There were about five people from the police department, including the party secretary. They wanted to have a talk with me.
I was asked, “Recently some Falun Dafa people were trying to broadcast Falun Dafa information on television. What do you think about this?” I responded that I didn't think that he knew the truth about Falun Dafa, and explained that practitioners were using this approach to clarify the truth to people. The officers tensed up and one asked me if I still practiced Falun Dafa.
“It is not merely practicing exercises,” I said. “It is also about cultivating and becoming a better person. This benefits society, the workplace, and family.”
The party secretary then stepped in and said, “The conversation stops here. You can go back to work now.” He then invited everyone there in the office for lunch. Afterward, he told me again that he would protect me, although the police were against his protecting me. They had told him, “She is so stubborn and yet you kept reporting her as being a good employee.”
Returning to Work after Being in a Labor Camp for More Than Two Years
When I was talking to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution on the bus on my way to work in 2007, I was arrested by plainclothes officers and imprisoned in a forced labor camp for two years and four months.
When I returned to my workplace after that time, the leadership team had changed. The new party secretary was deeply poisoned by the CCP’s lies and slandered Dafa and Master. He demanded that I write a guarantee statement, and hand it in to my supervisor.
I worried that I had just been released from the labor camp and had not had the opportunity to study the Fa well. I still had a lot of human attachments and lacked strong righteous thoughts. I felt that I should not start a conflict with him.
My plan was to return to work and clarify the truth later after I got a chance to study the Fa again. I handed in a paper to my supervisor on my first day that said, “I am thankful for the leadership’s care and support. I will correct anything that I haven't done well at work. I will do better in the future.”
The supervisor read my statement several times. I felt that he might not think that this was what they were looking for. I begged Master in my heart to protect these beings, not to have them commit any crime against Dafa, and not to let the evil take advantage of them. Just then, the supervisor laughed and said, “Good, good.”
I thanked Master in my heart. It was Master who protected this sentient being. I realized that Master was using his mouth to tell me that I did the right thing.
My coworkers welcomed me back. The supervisor and director even helped me find my lost cabinet where I had stored many Dafa books and materials.
By the time I retired and left my workplace, I had helped the majority of my coworkers understand the goodness of Dafa and the evilness of the persecution. Many had quit the CCP.
