Additional Persecution News from China – October 24, 2018 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Jimei Detained

Ms. Sun Jimei was arrested at home by five officers from the Ji'an Criminal Police Division, the Domestic Security Division, and the Huadian Police Station on August 31, 2018. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and a Walkman. They forcibly took Ms. Sun's fingerprints. Ms. Sun was detained for five days.

2. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Guihua Detained

Ms. Liu Guihua from Linshui County was reported for talking to others about Falun Gong and posting Falun Gong materials on the morning of October 5, 2018. She was followed and arrested by plainclothes officers. She was taken to the Chengbei Police Station, where she was handcuffed. She was then taken to the Linshui County Hospital for a physical exam. Despite her high blood pressure, Ms. Liu was held in the Linshui County Detention Center for 15 days. She was released on October 20.

3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yan Huaming Missing for Six Months

Mr. Yan Huaming, about 60, from Majia Township was harassed by local officials. In order to avoid further persecution he left home in April 2018. His family has not heard from him since.

4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zu Peiyong from Suijiadian Village was arrested when he was asleep at home by officers from the Yinan County Police Department and the Yiwen Town Police Station in the early morning hours of October 23, 2018. Mr. Wang Xijie's wife was also arrested early that morning.

Ms. Sun Shuju, from Huloupo Village, Liancheng Township, Mengyin County, was caught on video surveillance camera when she was posting Falun Gong materials on October 18, 2018. She was arrested by officers from the Changmazhuang Police Station. She is being held in the Pingyi Detention Center.

5. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Mingxia Detained

Ms. Jiang Mingxia is still being held in a detention center.

6. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shen Jinhua Arrested; Ms. Zhang Jing Displaced

Ms. Shen Jinhua from Shan County was arrested. Ms. Zhang Jing from Juye County was displaced as a result of persecution.

7. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Yuhua was arrested by officers from the Taiyuan City Police Department, the Yingze Police Department, the Yingze Police Station, and residential community officials (a total of over 20 people) on the evening of October 19, 2018. Her home was ransacked. Seven or eight practitioners were arrested at the same time.

8. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. Hu Dingyuan Arrested

Mr. Hu Dingyuan was arrested at home on the morning of August 28, 2018. The police ransacked his home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a Trans-flash Card, a USB flash disk, a Hard Disk Drive, a radiator, a sound player, an MP3, an MP4, a cell phone, a computer, a EVD, a printer, a DVD burner, a paper cutter, and other items. Mr. Hu was released the following day.

9. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Binhua Arrested

Mr. Liu Binhua was arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Hujiazhuang Police Station on the morning of October 23, 2018 for distributing Falun Gong materials and talking to others about Falun Gong. He was interrogated for three hours.

10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiurong and Ms. Wu Xiuzhi Arrested

Ms. Li Xiurong and Ms. Wu Xiuzhi from Yangmansa Village, Gaobeidian City, were arrested when they were hanging Falun Gong banners on October 23, 2018. They were held in the Beicheng Police Station.

11. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Ming and Mr. Li Dengchen Arrested

Officers from the Chenshi Town Police Station broke into the homes of Mr. Li Ming and Mr. Li Dengchen and arrested them on October 22, 2018. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Li Ming was held in the police station. Mr. Li Dengchen's whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhou Hongyu Detained

Mr. Zhou Hongyu was arrested by four officers from the Qianjin Police Station, Dengzhou City, on the afternoon of October 22, 2018. He was taken to the police station and then to the Dengzhou City Detention Center.

13. [Shanghai] Ms. Dong Yunfen Detained

Ms. Dong Yunfen, from Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested at her daughter's home in Shanghai by officers from the Fengxian District Domestic Security Division and the Pujinlu Police Station, Minhang District, on October 17, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Fengxian District Detention Center.
