(Minghui.org) A Shenyang City resident encountered two police officers at the entrance of her apartment building as she returned from grocery shopping on October 12, 2018.
Her home was ransacked and she was taken to the Zhujianlu Police Station for interrogation before being moved to the Shenyang City Detention Center, where she has been held since. The Shenhe District Procuratorate approved her case on November 16. She is now facing possible prosecution.
This is the third time that Ms. Gao Jingqun has been arrested for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline persecuted by the communist regime since 1999. Her two earlier arrests in August 2001 and August 2013 were followed by a one-month detention at a brainwashing center and 3.5 years in prison, respectively. Her latest arrest came only two years after she finished serving her previous prison term.
It was reported that Ms. Gao was traumatized by the sudden arrest and is suffering some physical discomfort, including muscle twitches and fatigue. With her being the homemaker and her husband working from 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m., her arrest has left her family in a very difficult situation.
