Additional Persecution News from China – November 6, 2018 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wei Xiujuan Imprisoned

Ms. Wei Xiujuan, who works in the Teacher's College of Beihua University, was arrested at home on April 27, 2018, and sentenced to two years in prison by the Gaoxin District Court on July 13. She appealed, but it was rejected by the Intermediate Court.

Ms. Wei is incarcerated in the Changchun Women's Prison.

2. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Tried

Mr. Li Weitao, Mr. Wang Yongsheng, Mr. Guo Shiyou, Mr. Gu Linjie, Ms. Luo Li, and Mr. Tang Xianhe were arrested by Baita Police Department Domestic Security Division officers on July 19, 2017.

The Baita District Court held a trial against the six practitioners in Liaoyang Detention Center on the morning of November 6, 2018.

3. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yujuan Develops Tumors While in Detention

Ms. Liu Yujuan from Chaoyang County was arrested by Boluochi Police Station officers on September 28, 2016, and taken to the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu became ill since being incarcerated, and three tumors have grown in her abdomen.

The county court sentenced her to seven years in prison. Guards from the detention center took her to the Shenyang Women's Prison three times, but each time the prison officials refused to accept her because of her poor health. Despite this, the detention center still has not released her.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Cuilan Tried Five Times

Binhai New District Court has held five trials against Ms. Wang Cuilan since May, 2018.

Ms. Wang was arrested by Tianjin Police Department Domestic Security Division and Dongtinglu Police Station officers, and taken to the Dongli Detention Center. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xing Huiying and Mr. Li Renqing Detained

Ms. Xing Huiying and Mr. Li Renqing were arrested on October 26, 2018, and detained for five days.

6. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Qingying Detained

Ms. Su Qingying from Liangshan County was arrested in Wendeng on October 23, 2018. She taken to the Wendeng Detention Center for 15 days.

7. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Kang Fuchun, Ms. Liang Xueping, Ms. Zhao Fengying, Ms. Qiao, and Ms. Fang were arrested when they were studying the teachings of Falun Gong at Ms. Qiao's home on October 31, 2018.

Ms. Liang and Ms. Zhao were released that night because they did not pass the physical exam. Ms. Kang, Ms. Qiao, and Ms. Fang have been detained.

8. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Rong and Ms. Zhang Baohua Detained

Ms. Liu Rong, 65, and Ms. Zhang Baohua, 68, were arrested when they were distributing Falun Gong materials on October 31, 2018. They were taken to the Zhumadian City Detention Center for 12 days.

9. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Ping from the Xuhui District was arrested at home by Minhang Domestic Security Division officers on November 4, 2018. She is being held in the Fengxian District Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Yi from the Putuo District and Ms. Rong Meiying from Pudong were arrested at the same time.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Tianzhen on Trial

Ms. Tang Tianzhen was arrested by Xietaizi Police Station officers in the Jiulongpo District on June 6, 2018. She was taken to Huayan Detention Center.

Ms. Tang was tried on October 25, 2018.

11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yuan Xuefen's Family Arrested

Ms. Yuan Xuefen's family members were arrested by Beigandao Police Station officers when they were asking for her release at the Longquanyi District Domestic Security Division.

Ms. Yuan's parents were released later that night, but her brother was detained for 7 days. Her son's situation is unknown.

12. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guilan, Ms. He Niudui, and Ms. Xu Huifang, all from the Xincheng District were arrested on October 31, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.
