Additional Persecution News from China – October 28, 2108 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Xiong Chunlan has not been seen or heard from for three years.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners' Case Files Passed to Court

Mr. Hong Weisheng, Ms. Hou Aila, Ms. Hou Mila, Ms. Rao Xiaoping, and Mr. Bai Housheng were arrested and taken to the Liyuan Police Station in the Hongshan District on April 19, 2018.

Officer Zheng Qing and others from the Liyuan Police Station, Han Yugao from the Hongshan District Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Wuhan City Domestic Security Division ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, printers, and personal belongings.

Mr. Hong is being held in the Hongshan Detention Center. Ms. Hou Aila, Ms. Hou Mila, and Ms. Rao are being held in the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center. Mr. Bai was released on bail.

Charges have been filed with the Hongshan Court against Mr. Hong, Ms. Hou Aila, Ms. Hou Mila, and Ms. Rao.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Cuilian Arrested

Hutou Town Police Station officers broke into Ms. Li Cuilian's home in Lujiazhuang Village on the morning of October 26, 2018, and ransacked it.

Ms. Li was arrested and taken away in a police car. She vomited and lost consciousness on the journey. She was so sick that her family was called to come take her home.

Ms. Fu Xiufang was arrested at a subway on October 25, 2018.

Ms. Shen Huanjiao from Xiliuhe Town, Xiantao City was arrested on October 26, 2018. She was taken to the Wuhan Railroad Station.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhou Jinsong Arrested

Ms. Zhou Jinsong from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was arrested when she was handing out Falun Gong information in Shanghai. Her home was ransacked.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Shanxiang and Mr. Liu Wei Detained

Ms. Sun Shanxiang from the Binhe Unit in the Shunyi District and Mr. Liu Wei from the Yulong Unit were arrested on October 17, 2018. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held in the Nihe Detention Center in Shunyi.

Mr. Liu and his wife, not mentioned here, have been severely persecuted before for their belief. Ms. Sun's husband passed away as a result of the persecution.

8. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Su Wumei, Ms. Yang Dazhen, and a practitioner with the last name Gong were arrested by Tongchuan District Domestic Security Division officers in mid-July 2018 after surveillance cameras captured them distributing Falun Gong information. Their homes were ransacked.

Gong was interrogated, and released after midnight. Ms. Yang was interrogated and detained for seven days. Ms. Su is still being held.

9. [Jingyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Shumei Facing Trial

Ms. Chen Shumei was arrested by Yu Xuejun, head of the Domestic Security Division, and other officers on November 1, 2017.

The Jingyu County Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant in early December 2017. Charges were filed with the Jingyu County Court on February 8, 2018. A trial was scheduled for late October 2018.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Xu Jinhua in Custody

Ms. Xu Jinhua was arrested in the Beichen Market on October 24, 2018, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in Beichen Police Station.

11. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Charges Filed Against Six Practitioners

The Wulian County Procuratorate filed charges with the Wulian Court on October 18, 2018, against Ms. Qu Zhengrong, Ms. Sun Ping, Mr. Gong Hua, Mr. Wang Yanzhou, Mr. Yao Yonglin, and Mr. Qu Zhenghua.

Ms. Qu, Ms. Sun, and Mr. Gong have been held in the Rizhao City Detention Center since they were arrested on February 2. Mr. Wang, Mr. Yao, and Mr. Qu were released on bail on March 9.
