(Minghui.org) A reporter from a Venezuelan TV Network, Telesur, passed by a striking group of meditators outside the United Nations' headquarters in New York on September 29. He felt compelled to stop and interview several people from this group, which was Falun Gong.
During the recent 73rd Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the Falun Gong group gathered at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza outside the UN headquarters in New York from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from September 24 to 29.
Rally participant Xiaoping Yang, who experienced persecution for practicing Falun Gong in China, said, “In this peaceful environment, we come here to raise awareness of this ongoing persecution in China by the Chinese Communist Party [CCP]. We call for help to stop this inhumane brutality.”

Elizabeth, a resident of the area, caught sight of the demonstration while passing by. She watched for quite a while and said, “You are so peaceful. Amazing!”
Elizabeth said she was impressed by the peacefulness of Falun Gong and outraged by the brutal persecution.
Elizabeth said that she knew that Falun Gong was an ancient meditation practice that was persecuted by the CCP. She said, “The worst thing is that they [the CCP] kill Falun Gong practitioners for their organs [for transplant].”
