(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Jing Tortured
Ms. Chen Jing was arrested in early 2016, and sentenced to a five-year prison term. She was taken to the No. 6 Group, No. 9 Ward of Harbin Women's Prison on May 10, 2017, where she was tortured and brainwashed. Threatened with beatings, she was forced to sit on a small stool, with her body straight and both hands on the knees, and remain still.
Ms. Chen's legs were tied, and her mouth filled with dirty rags. She was slapped, stripped naked, and tortured during a three month period.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Held in Secret Location
Ms. Guo Xueping, chairperson of the board to the Zhongjiaxin Real Estate Development Company; Mr. Fu Xinge, vice president; and Mr. Duan Haibo, CEO of the Hebei Jinchao Construction Engineering Company, were arrested at work by Beijing National Security Bureau police on September 17, 2018. They were taken to a secret location in Luquan City.
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guan Zhongji and Mr. Gao Hengbai's Verdicts Upheld
Mr. Guan Zhongji, from Pingdu City, was sentenced to seven years in prison in July 2018, by Lei Hongchun, deputy head of the Criminal Tribunal, Pingdu Court.
Mr. Gao Hengbai, also from Pingdu, was sentenced to a three-year prison term by Judge Li Yan of the Pingdu Court on May 22, 2018.
They both appealed, but the Qingdao City Court recently upheld the original verdicts.
4. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Dagong Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Liu Dagong was sentenced to a two-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 10,000 yuan by the Penglai City Court on the morning of September 24, 2018.
5. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Hua Arrested
Ms. Cui Hua from Tianliu Town was arrested by Tianliu Police Station officers on September 24, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers' market.
6. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Yang Xiaodong Facing Trial
Mr. Yang Xiaodong is to be tried by the Lianhu District Court on the morning of September 28, 2018.

7. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zhao Echuan Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term
Mr. Zhao Echuan was arrested on October 16, 2017, and tried by the Nanming District Court on May 2, 2018. He was sentenced to a four-year prison term on September 15.
8. [Qingcheng County, Gansu Province] Ms. He Xuerong Detained
Ms. He Xuerong and her husband were arrested by Pengyuan Township Police Station officers for posting Falun Gong informational materials in Pengyuan, Xifeng District, on August 10, 2018.
Ms. He was taken to the Qingcheng County Detention Center, while her husband was released.
