(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, one Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during his detention, another practitioner has been reported missing, and at least 10 were illegal arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Xingyou and Ms. Shi Guizhi Arrested

Mr. Zhao Xingyou and Ms. Shi Guizhi from Zhaojiatun, Shuiquan Township, Shuangcheng City, were arrested on January 6, 2018. Their Falun Gong books, picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and cash were confiscated.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Shichao Detained

Mr. Zhang Shichao from Wuan City was arrested by officers from the Tushan Township Police Station when he was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the afternoon of January 5, 2018.

He was taken to the Wuan Administrative Detention Center for ten days of detention.

3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Hua Arrested

Mr. Zhang Hua was arrested and his home was ransacked.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zeng Lie Detained

Ms. Zeng Lie, 60, from No. 1 Wunan Village, was arrested by officers from the Shouyilu Police Station on the morning of January 6, 2018. She is being held in the police station.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liang Tiemei Detained

Ms. Liang Tiemei of Taipingci Reservoir, Longwang Township, Nongan County was arrested by officers from the Longwang Police Station on January 3, 2018. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City for ten days of detention.

6. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Xianjiahu Police Station broke into Ms. Wu Liru's home on the afternoon of January 2, 2018. They arrested her and her two visitors, Mr. Ren Jianming and Mr. Peng Xiaoping.

The three practitioners were taken to the Yuelu District Police Department.

Ms. Wu was transferred to a detention center. Mr. Ren and Mr. Peng were released that night.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guifang's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Guifang was arrested by officers from the Debiao Police Station on the evening of January 3, 2018. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Ma Shufen was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on January 5, 2018.

9. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yanping Detained

Mr. Wang Yanping from Zhengjiatun, Huajia Township was arrested at home by officers from the Huajia Police Station on January 4, 2018. He is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City.

10. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Fengying Detained

Ms. Li Fengying, 62, was arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong materials in Chejiang Town on January 3, 2018. She was taken to a police station before being transferred to a detention center for five days of detention.
