(Minghui.org) I felt a twinge of fear when I read on the web that practitioners in Shandong and Liaoning Provinces were harassed by local police and community agents because of the “door-knocking” drive. I have been a target of local agents in the past.
Three officers from the local police station knocked on my door on August 15. “Are you Mr. so and so?” An older officer in his fifties asked me with a smile. Accompanying him were two younger officers. I responded with “yes” and he proceeded to say he was from the police station.
I invited them in and told them to take a seat. The older one asked me for my phone number. I said I didn't have one. There was no reason for me to have a telephone. The police had been monitoring me for many years. I was asked about my practice. I stopped answering their questions and began to chat with them.
Whether I do the exercises or not is none of their business, as I didn't feel a need to tell them. Only Teacher decides what I should do. I started to tell them about my life – how I needed to take care of my child and the elderly in my family. I told them I was monitored by the company where I worked.
A colleague stopped by and I introduced them to each other. Her son-in-law had run into me while I was riding my bicycle the day before. I told him that I was okay and that I would be fine.
She asked me to go to the hospital for an exam. I told her I had slight pain in my arm and a small cut on my leg. There was no need to spend money at the hospital, I would be fine in a few days.
I told them that a taxi hit my electric car a while back. My knee and hand were bleeding slightly and my neck had a small cut. The driver was scared and wanted to take me to the hospital. I told him I just needed to take a short rest and I would be okay.
He was grateful. He said anyone else would have cost him plenty. I asked him to remember that Falun Dafa is good. It can save your life when disasters come.
I told them that I was beaten unconscious by the police in 2002. I had lost my hearing for a while, my back was injured and my arms were swollen and bruised. The cartilage in my mid-section was damaged preventing me from doing much housework even now – I had not completely recovered.
I talked with the police as if they were old friends. They were all wise and intelligent and I told them so, otherwise they would not be able to do their job. They were blessed people, but they must remember to be fair and just on the job. They should not follow orders to do bad things and become scapegoats for former leader Jiang Zemin who began the persecution of Falun Dafa.
They all smiled. They seemed to be impressed by my experiences and understood that Dafa practitioners are considerate of others.
Nothing else was brought up and they left.
