(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Baoli Held for 30 Days

Mr. Wang Baoli was arrested at work on the morning of April 20, 2017, by six officers, including Li Yunfeng from the Changping District Domestic Security Division. The officers confiscated a satellite receiver, seven pendants with Falun Gong information, seven copies of a weekly publication, three paper cutting art works with Falun Gong messages, three photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and two speakers. Mr. Wang was held in the Changping District Detention Center for 30 days.

2. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yao Shuxia Arrested

Ms. Yao Shuxia was arrested and her home ransacked on June 21, 2017.

3. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shantian's Home Ransacked

Mr. Wang Shantian from Sishilipu Town was harassed by several people on June 19, 2017. Two days later, several people went to his home twice to harass him. They confiscated a music player, a storage card, a card reader, a copy of Zhuan Falun, Master's lectures and recent writings, and personal belongings.

4. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Fengying Detained

Ms. Zhang Fengying from Jincheng Residential Community was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of May 17, 2017. She was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center for a week of detention. She was extorted 50,000 yuan. She returned home on May 25.

5. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Jianxin and Mr. Nie Guangfeng Arrested

Mr. Xu Jianxin and Mr. Nie Guangfeng from Minhang District were arrested by officers from the Tianyuan New Village Police Station on the afternoon of June 20, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong at Guidu Road. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Xu was detained for 15 days. He was released for health reasons. Mr. Xu remains in custody.

6. [Chuzhou City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhu Longbin Detained

Mr. Zhu Longbin was arrested at home and taken to a detention center.

7. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Yujun Detained

Ms. Pan Yujun was arrested by officers from the Tiexi Police Station on June 13, 2017. She is held in the Anshan Women's Detention Center.

8. [Tianzhu County, Guizhou Province] Two Practitioners Taken to Prison

Ms. Zhang Xuemei, Ms. Yao Caiyun, and Ms. Chen Zaixian were reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in Madu Township on March 20, 2016. They were detained for 15 days by the Tianzhu County Police Department. Ms. Chen passed away in fear on July 23, 2016.

Two practitioners were tried by the Tianzhu County Court on March 2, 2017. Ms. Zhang was given a three-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan on March 16. Ms. Yao was given a two-year prison term and fined 4,000 yuan.

Ms. Zhang appealed. The intermediate court upheld the original verdict without holding a hearing on May 8, 2017. Both practitioners were taken to the Guizhou Provincial No. 1 Women's Prison on June 13, 2017.

9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Xiuqin Harassed

Ms. Liu Xiuqin was harassed at home on the afternoon of May 18, 2017. The police confiscated three photos of the founder of Falun Gong, paintings, and amulets.

10. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jinfeng Taken to Prison

Ms. Li Jinfeng was taken to the Xi'an Women's Prison.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Jinying Detained

Ms. Liu Jinying, in her 70s, from Caiyu Town, was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on June 10, 2017. She was arrested by officers from the Caiyu Town Police Station. She has been held in the Beijing Detention Center.

12. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Guilian and Ms. Wang Zhengting Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Lu Guilian was given an eight-year prison term and Ms. Wang Zhengting a three-year prison term by the Licang District Court on June 16, 2017.

Ms. Luo Shuqing and her sister Ms. Luo Shufang were arrested around June 3, 2017.

14. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yan Shuqing's Home Ransacked

Five officers from the Chang'an Street Police Station brought a professional locksmith and broke into Ms. Yan Shuqing's home on the morning of June 14, 2017. They ransacked the place and confiscated two Falun Gong books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

15. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Gonghua Developed Liver Tumor in Prison

Mr. Zhang Gonghua, 39, was a student studying towards a master's degree at Fudan University. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in June 2000. The university authorities suspended him from school, and he had to return home. Later he had to leave town to work on odd jobs in Shenyang City.

He was arrested in July 2002, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was tortured and enslaved in the Shenyang Prison. He now has a liver tumor, but the prison has refused to grant him medical parole.

16. [Qianxi County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zhang Qinian Detained

Mr. Zhang Qinian from Tailai Township was arrested and his home ransacked on February 16, 2017 because he talked to people about Falun Gong. He was taken into custody. It is not clear where he is being held.

17. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Shufeng Detained

Ms. Yang Shufeng from Majiadian Town was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Helong Town Police Station on the morning of June 20, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is held in the Dandong Detention Center.

18. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Surong Held in Prison

Ms. Wang Surong was given a two-and-a-half-year prison term by the Guta District Court on December 26, 2016. She appealed. The Jinzhou City Intermediate Court upheld the original verdict on January 22, 2017. She is held in the Masanjia Prison Ward at Liaoning Women's Prison.

19. [Jingzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Qiong and Ms. Ma Shijun Missing

Ms. Wang Qiong and Ms. Ma Shijun have been missing since June 20, 2017, when they talked to people about Falun Gong.

20. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liang Jianguo's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Liang Jianguo returned home in the Datonghu District after about 10 years in prison. He left home again due to constant harassment by the local police. His whereabouts are unknown since June 21, 2017.

21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Renguang, Mr. Wang (driver), Mr. Li and Mr. Han were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Minquan Police Station on the evening of June 11, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. The officers confiscated a large number of supplies. The officers handcuffed Mr. Li and Mr. Wang and took them to their homes and ransacked them. They confiscated Falun Gong books. The practitioners were then taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.

Ms. Ma Cuilian was arrested by officers from the Malan Police Station in June 12, 2017. She was locked in an iron cage. She was released that evening. The police told her that they had set up surveillance cameras in her home. She has been displaced.

22. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Guiqin and Her Sister Ms. Cao Guiru Detained

Ms. Cao Guiqin was arrested at home by officers from the Tiedong Police Station on the afternoon of June 15, 2017. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, printed materials, and Minghui Weekly. Her elder sister Ms. Cao Guiru went to the police station to give meals to her. She was also arrested and her home ransacked. The officers confiscated three cards about the facts of Falun Gong. Both sisters are held at the Nanshan Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

Officers from the Beicheng Police Station went to Mr. Jiang Yuejun's home and harassed him on June 19 and June 21, 2017.

23. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Hua and Ms. Wu Yali Detained

Ms. Yang Hua and Ms. Wu Yali were arrested by officers from the Xinyuan Police Station, Hantai District, at noon on June 22, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked that afternoon. They are held at the Hantai District Detention Center.
