Improving Myself While Talking to People about Falun Dafa and the Persecution
(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 2007 and began distributing informational materials about the practice six months later.
However, it wasn't until August 2015 that I began talking to people face-to-face about Dafa and the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I was very fearful that I might get arrested, but I soon built up the courage and started talking to people about Falun Dafa.
When I was unable to convince people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, I asked myself, “Am I still afraid of being persecuted? I am a Dafa practitioner; I absolutely must believe in Master!”
My husband, also a Dafa practitioner, and I later decided to talk to people about Dafa in the towns and villages where we had previously distributed informational materials.
On route to a crowded town market, we ran into a fellow practitioner on the bus. We all worked together to tell people at the market about Dafa and the persecution.
That day, my husband helped five people quit the CCP, I helped four, and the other practitioner helped seven. We were very excited about our accomplishment.
We later went to other markets and helped over two dozen people quit the Party in one day.
I felt that I had made a lot of progress in my cultivation.
During the first few days of talking to people, we each encountered a little interference.
I became very thirsty and coughed a lot. I thought it was strange, as I hardly ever drank water while distributing fliers, but I became very thirsty when talking to people. I did not let it affect me and continued to let people know about Dafa.
Many people appreciated my efforts and even shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” when I met them again. I was very happy for them.
Maintaining Righteous Thoughts
After sending forth righteous thoughts at 6 a.m., we study the Fa for one to three hours before traveling to a market. We also send forth righteous thoughts on the way to our destination and ask Master to arrange for us to meet predestined people.
We spend about three to four hours at each market, then return home around 4 p.m.
When I found myself paying attention to the number of people who quit the Party each day, the next group of people I spoke to would refuse to quit.
After looking within, I realized that I was paying too much attention to “numbers,” and developed a mindset of pursuit, instead of thinking of how to better help save people. I thought, “Master, I'm sorry! I was wrong.”
Shortly after, I found that my environment had changed and people were once again open to quitting the CCP.
Through all of this, I enlightened to the fact that only by cultivating ourselves well can we truly save sentient beings!
