Additional Persecution News from China – March 11, 2017 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Guiqin Detained

Ms. Li Guiqin, 69, was arrested at home by officers from the Tongxing Police Station and the Dandong Domestic Security Division on March 9, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She is currently being held at the Tangchi Detention Center.

Ms. Li had been arrested several times previously and given a three-and-a-half-year forced labor term in 2007.

2. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hou Zhenghua Detained and Ms. Song Persecuted

Mr. Hou Zhenghua was arrested on February 27, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is currently being held at Chaoyang Detention Center.

While she was detained, Ms. Song Shouyun was only allowed to wear a coat when the provincial officers came to inspect the detention center.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Chuanhua, Ms. Pan Wenjie, and Ms. Lu Fengxia were arrested at home at 3:00 a.m. on March 9, 2017. Ms. Wang Jianru was also arrested that day.

Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Liu, Ms. Lu, and Ms. Wang are being held at the Jinzhou City Detention Center. Ms. Pan's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Yanting Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yanting was arrested by officers from the Yangqiao Police Station on March 8, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, an audio player, Falun Gong informational materials, and other personal belongings.

5. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guosheng Detained

Mr. Zhang Guosheng was arrested at Changchun High-Speed Railway Station on March 9, 2017. He was given a 15-day detention.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Feng Jinsheng, his wife Ms. Chen Yihong, their child, and Mr. Feng’s sister Ms. Feng Jinbo were arrested by officers from Kuancheng District Police Department and Lanjia Police Station on March 7, 2017. The police ransacked their home and confiscated two computers and other personal belongings.

Mr. Feng is currently being held at the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center, Ms. Chen at the No. 2 Detention Center, Ms. Feng at the Weizigou Detention Center, and the child is at the Xinxing Police Hospital.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Jiang Xiulan, 73, was arrested by officers from the Hongjialou Police Station on February 18, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to Qilibao Market Police Office.

An officer took a syringe filled with an unknown medicine and tried to give Ms. Jiang injections. She desperately resisted and the police gave up in the end. Ms. Jiang was released at 10:00 p.m.

8. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Wei and Ms. Cao Wenying Arrested

Mr. Li Wei and Ms. Cao Wenying were arrested at home and their homes were ransacked by plainclothes officers on March 9, 2017. Their clinics were closed.

9. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yu Huiyu Arrested

Ms. Yu Huiyu was arrested at home by officers from the Zhimaying Police Station on March 8, 2017. The police confiscated her computer. The detention center refused to admit her because she was found to have high blood pressure. She was released late that night.

10. [Qingyuan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jianlin Arrested

Mr. Wang Jianlin was arrested on his way to Beijing on March 5, 2017. The police confiscated Falun Gong books from his home.

Mr. Chen Mingan was sent to Weinan Prison on March 10, 2017.

13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Jingzhou Arrested

Mr. Liu Jingzhou was arrested by officers from the Daowai Police Department on March 4, 2017. The police harassed his family in the following days.
