Remember To Treat Cultivation Seriously
(Minghui.org) Several recent articles on the Minghui website have mentioned elderly practitioners who were going through tribulations or have passed away. I'm saddened to learn that even though they bravely withstood the most difficult time of Fa rectification, some practitioners lost their lives due to interference by the old forces. Practitioners in my area discussed this, and we feel the main issue may be that they hadn't treated their cultivation seriously.
Master told us,
“I’m not going to talk about doing healing here. We don’t do healing. But if you want to do true cultivation, and you’ve come here with an ailing body, then you can’t cultivate yet. So I have to purify your body.” (Zhuan Falun)
I know an elderly practitioner who threw away all his medicine. Soon afterward, he developed symptoms of diabetes. His family insisted that he go for a test. He momentarily forgot that he was a practitioner and went to have a diabetes test. The result showed alarmingly high glucose in his urine. His family and doctor kept him in the hospital. He also treated himself as an ordinary person. When a practitioner asked him, “As a cultivator, what's your understanding of this issue?” He replied, “I did have diabetes before I began to practice. Now I'm in my eighties...”
Since he seems to be practicing Falun Dafa to prolong his life, his xinxing is at the level of an ordinary person on this issue.
Based on my own experiences, I think that the principles of Dafa won't be revealed if one only reads Zhuan Falun as a regular book. Some practitioners don't truly focus when they read the Fa because they have read it so many times.
We came to this world of illusion with our mission to help Master with Fa rectification. We have to cultivate ourselves according to the Fa in order to return to our origins. Master's book, Zhuan Falun, is our ladder to heaven. I hope all fellow practitioners will study the Fa sincerely. As long as we truly believe in Master and Dafa and steadfastly follow Master’s guidance, the issues these elderly practitioners experienced won't occur.
