(Minghui.org) I was unruly, strong-willed, and pretentious. I changed greatly after I started practicing Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, in 2006.

Resolving a Conflict as a Cultivator

I teach kindergarten. On one occasion, the mother of a student said to me in the presence of the principal, “Look at my daughter's face!”

“Your daughter was scratched before she came to the school,” the principal explained.

This parent did not believe this. “Your school is irresponsible.”

In the Fa teaching “Correction,” Master said,

“Be careful: When a problem arises, do not try to find out who should be held accountable. Instead, you should examine your own conduct.” (Essentials for Further Advancement )

I calmly apologized. “I am sorry. I did not do my job well. I will be more careful next time.” The principal praised my tolerant response after the parent left. I said that every Dafa practitioner would do the same.

After finding out that the scratch had occurred before school started, the student's mother came back to apologize the next day. I told her not to worry about it. I also told her the facts about Falun Gong.

Eliminating the Attachment to Personal Gain

I have worked conscientiously since I became a practitioner and have been highly praised by the students’ parents. When my colleagues received a raise, I wondered why I did not. I thought of what Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.:

“But true improvements come from letting go, not from gaining.”

I quickly let go of this attachment, thinking that the principal must have had her own reasons. At the end of the semester, I received a generous bonus of 1,000 yuan. The reward reflects what Master taught us in “Zhuan Falun”.

“..., as a cultivator should follow the course of nature. If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it.”

After years of cultivation, my greatest feeling is that I am fortunate to be able to cultivate in Dafa. I am very grateful to Master.

Purified by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I am away from troubles and sadness. Protected by Master, I can smoothly do the three things well.
