(Minghui.org) After years of persistently telling people the facts about Falun Gong, most people who know me have become supportive. They not only quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations themselves, but also convinced their relatives to do the same. Moreover, they openly speak out against the persecution of Falun Gong.
I would like to share several stories of those who've stood up for Falun Gong after learning the facts.
Deputy Police Chief: “Falun Gong Practitioners Are Very Kind”
My husband has a good friend who works as a deputy chief of the local police bureau. One time he invited some friends to dinner. At the party, he introduced me to his friends this way, “This lady is a teacher and Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Gong practitioners are good people. They are very kind.”
He then told us a story about a Falun Gong practitioner who made a good impression on him. “I know an old woman who practices Falun Gong. She hand made shoes for seniors free of charge. She has made shoes for my mom, too.”
He continued: “This woman is kind to everyone. As long as she was requested to make shoes, she would hand make a pair in their size and deliver it to their home.
“She has made more than one thousand pairs of shoes. Her story has spread throughout the area. If people who were deceived by the CCP badmouthed Falun Gong, anyone who knew this woman would know the real story.”
Colleagues Stand Up for Falun Gong
I was fired from my teaching job at the end of 2000 for practicing Falun Gong. Later I was sentenced to prison. After I was released, I was told two encouraging stories.
While I was imprisoned, one of my colleagues spoke up for me. She talked to almost every teacher in my school, explaining, “Falun Gong is nothing like the government's propaganda. Has the CCP ever spoken the truth? If Falun Gong is not good, why are there so many people practicing it and holding to it in spite of being arrested and beaten? Isn't this an indication of how great and powerful Falun Gong is?”
If she encountered a person who said negative things about Falun Gong, she would set them straight, saying, “Be careful what you say. Distinguish true from false yourself. What the government says is not necessarily the truth. You said Falun Gong is not good, then why are there so many intelligent people practicing it? Are they all fools?”
Her efforts impacted a lot of people and they stopped saying anything negative about Falun Gong.
I have a friend who is also a teacher and Falun Gong practitioner. She was arrested in the summer of 2006. One of her colleagues was very worried about her when she heard the news. She went to the school principal and asked him to bring my friend back.
The school principal, who was deceived by the CCP's lies, slandered Falun Gong. My friend's colleague argued with the principal, “What's wrong with Falun Gong practitioners? She is a very kind person. Why are these good people being arrested, while thieves and robbers are left at large?”
Chairman of a State Enterprise: “Self-Immolation” Must Be a Hoax
On January 23, 2001, five individuals allegedly set themselves on fire in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The entire scene was caught on camera from multiple angles. Beginning just hours after the event, state-controlled media was flooded with reports that the self-immolators were Falun Gong practitioners.
The chairman of one of our local large-scale state enterprises watched the TV report that day. He said to his wife, “There are problems with the report. It has to be a hoax.”
He then pointed out several loopholes. His wife told me, “Many people do not believe what's broadcast on TV. It is clearly fabricated.”
School Principal: “Don't Misjudge Falun Gong”
My husband attended a party with some of his old colleagues in early March this year. During the party, someone talked about his health problems in middle age and felt helpless in the face of illnesses and fate.
My husband then suggested, “You might want to read the book Zhuan Falun. It is really effective in healing illness.”
There was an awkward silence. Some were afraid to talk about the subject and some made excuses, “I do not have time,” “I do not have the perseverance,” etc.
Among them there was a middle school principal who was very positive about Falun Gong.
He said, “Don't misjudge Falun Gong. The practice is actually very good. One of my friends is a Falun Gong practitioner. His cancer was gone after practicing Falun Gong. Just look at her (referring to me). How great is she?!”
There were four dinner tables at the party. One person gestured at him to lower his voice, but he was not afraid. He continued saying loudly, “Falun Gong is good. Think about it before jumping to conclusions.”
Government Leader: “Negative Words about Falun Gong Are Not Good for Our People”
One year, our local government organized editors to compile a local history report. When the responsible person submitted the completed work to his leader for review, the government leader found slanderous words about Falun Gong in it.
He said to the person responsible, “Do not include that propaganda about Falun Gong. Such negative words about Falun Gong are not good for our people because Falun Gong will sooner or later be redressed. Just delete that part. If anyone finds fault with you on this issue, let him talk to me.”
Thus, the slanderous statements were removed from the report.
