(Minghui.org) Seven homes in Jintang County are confirmed to have been raided on August 31. These families were targeted because they have members that practice Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

Five agencies participated in the police sweep. They were Jintang County Police Department, Zhaodu Police Station, Shuicheng Police Station, Yangliu Police Station, and Jiangyuan Village Government.

According to insiders, the arresting officers were ordered to turn in their cell phones before being dispatched to different places to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. The higher-ups did not want any officers to leak the news to the public.

One practitioner’s husband was shot in the eye by a radiation gun, a weapon that delivers a focused beam of electromagnetic radiation that heats human skin painfully. His family still smelled a burning odor when cleansing his face the next day. The eye also felt hot to the touch.

Husband Shot in the Eye

Ms. Jiang Fengxiang was not around when the police descended upon her home on August 31 to search for Falun Gong informational materials and arrest her.

Her parents-in-law, who live with her, opened the door. The police went straight upstairs despite the elderly couple’s protests.

Ms. Jiang’s husband, who was taking a shower upstairs, came downstairs upon hearing the commotion.

His feet were still on the last step of the staircase when an officer shot him in the right eye with a radiation gun. He immediately felt sharp pain and was unable to see.

His parents begged the police, “What if he becomes blind? We are counting on him to take care of us. Please, no more!”

Only then did the officer put away the gun.

Ms. Jiang’s husband refused to kneel down as the police demanded, only to be beaten and taken away.

The police next went through the whole house and confiscated more than 40 copies of Falun Gong books, audio and video tapes, as well as informational materials.

When Ms. Jiang’s husband was released hours later, his wrists had handcuff marks and were black and purple.

His eye was still swollen the next day.

Pregnant Woman Arrested, Family Car Impounded

Ms. Zhao Surong was also not home when the police came to arrest her. Only her son and 9-month-pregnant daughter-in-law were around.

The police kicked open the door and let in two police dogs. Ms. Zhao’s son was already resting in bed when two officers grabbed him and took him away.

His wife was also removed from the house, and one policewoman kicked her twice in the police car.

The police confiscated all of Ms. Zhao’s Falun Gong books and equipment that she used to produce Falun Gong informational materials. They also took away five cell phones and drove away her family car.

The house was in total disarray when Ms. Zhao returned home later that night.

She went out to run some errands the following morning and returned home to find the door pried open. Her son’s clothes had been taken away. Some neighbors told her that the police had come again to ransack her house.

Her daughter-in-law was released at around 11 a.m. on September 1. She told Ms. Zhao that the police had tried to alienate her from her mother-in-law and also bragged they knew everything going on in their household.

The young woman’s arms were swollen and had handcuff marks.

In addition to the above two families, Fan Mingkai and He Rong (husband and wife) have also been arrested. The other families’ situation remains to be investigated.
