Conducting Ourselves as True Cultivators

(Minghui.org) “Dafa Practitioner in the Fa-rectification Period” is the most honorable title in the vast universe. Every step that a Dafa practitioner walks involves a test or tribulation. Whatever we experience in daily life is no minor thing, for anything could be expanded into a major thing, involving the life and death of many beings, and can even be related to a larger universe.

I would like to share my recent understandings about how to conduct ourselves as true cultivators.

Watching Every Thought and Action

As Dafa practitioners, how we spend each day is very important.

Never regard yourself as unimportant. Never think your small actions have no effect on others. Actually, all of the sentient beings in your universe are watching you. They could live forever if every action of yours aligns with Dafa. If your behavior doesn't align with Dafa, they could be destroyed.

Therefore, we must discipline ourselves as Dafa practitioners, be strict with our every thought and action, and cherish the honor of assisting Master in the Fa-rectification, so that we will have no regrets when the Fa-rectification reaches the human world.

Practicing Genuine Cultivation

Master wrote,

“The heart harbors Zhen-Shan-Ren,
Falun Dafa forms; 
Constantly cultivate xinxing,
Consummation—wonderful without limits.”(“Genuine Cultivation”, Hong Yin)

In my understanding, the above poem shows us the way to consummation.

As genuine cultivators, we should always follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and use them to measure everything we do.

We must get rid of our attachments, which are against Truthfulness-Compassion- Forbearance, so that whatever we do will live up to these principles at our levels.

Correct Perspective on Suffering

I understand that the Fa-rectification of the human world should have arrived, but Master extended the time because many things are still not up to Master's expectations.

If we cannot live up to Master's requirements, we are not worthy of the title “Fa-rectification Period Dafa Disciple.”

When we are in tribulations, we should think this way: “Our current suffering is nothing compared to our future eternal glory.” We feel that things are unbearable simply because we are currently living in this human world, carrying a flesh body and harboring many human attachments.

An enlightened being would jump down here without hesitation to gain eternal glory despite this relatively small suffering.

Though we are in a maze of the Three Realms, Master has told us so many heavenly secrets in the Fa lectures. If we believe in Master one hundred percent, we will not agonize over difficulty and suffering.

We often talk about believing in Master one hundred percent. In my understanding, no one has reached such a state unless he is enlightened completely and reached consummation. We might be able to become an enlightened person only when we set a goal of believing in Master one hundred percent.

Criteria of True Cultivation

What are the criteria of true cultivation?

Master wrote,

“Study Fa, obtain Fa,
Compare in studying, compare in cultivating,
Examine each and every deed, 
Accomplishing is cultivating.”(“Solid Cultivation,” Hong Yin)

Master taught us about the characteristics of the universe in human language, but we will only have a very superficial understanding if we do not study the Fa in depth.

Master expounded on the characteristics of the universe in the book Zhuan Falun and 40 volumes of Fa lectures, which explained things in detail from different angles and at different levels. As Dafa practitioners, we have to study the Fa often.

Studying Master's Fa lectures is an important undertaking. We are not able to keep the teachings in our minds and understand them completely after one reading, so as Dafa practitioners, we should be focused on studying Master's Fa again and again, comparing our own actions with the Fa and improving ourselves so as to fulfill our prehistoric vows.
