Additional Persecution News from China – August 30, 2016 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Qi County, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Imprisoned

Ms. Zhou Fengmei, Ms. Zhang Yuxiu, and Ms. Jia Aixia were arrested in October 2015 by Xun County Domestic Security Division officers in Hebi City. They were held in the Hebi City Detention Center. They were secretly tried in the Xun County Court in 2016. Ms. Jia was sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Zhang were each sentenced to three-and-a-half years. They were taken to Xinxiang Women's Prison on August 20, 2016.

2. [Shanghai] Ms. Cai Miaoqing Sentenced

Ms. Cai Miaoqing was recently sentenced to two years and three months in prison for suing former CCP leader Jiang Zemin.

3. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Xiaoling Sentenced

Ms. Luo Xiaoling from Meizhou City had a second instance trial in the Panyu District Court, Guangzhou City, on the morning of August 25, 2016. The court sentenced her to three-and-a-half years in prison.

4. [Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Lin Ronghua Arrested

Ms. Lin Ronghua, 72, was arrested on the evening of August 28, 2016. Police broke into her son's home and confiscated his computer.

5. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Two Practitioners Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Hong Jijing and Ms. Ying Guofang were taken to Xiongfeng Village Brainwashing Center in Ninghai County on August 26, 2016.

6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Suhua Arrested

Ms. Yang Suhua of the Haigang District was arrested on the morning of August 29, 2016, by Duzhuang Police Station officers for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Duzhuang Open Market.

7. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Shuqing Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuqing of Sanjie Town was arrested on August 28, 2016, when she was telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

8. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Feng Dijian Arrested

Mr. Feng Dijian was arrested at his parent's home in Zhaoqing City on August 28, 2016, by officers from Baisha Police Station.

9. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Zangpin Missing for 17 Years

Mr. Zhang Zhangpin, 68, has been missing for 17 years, ever since he went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong in 1999.

10. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hu Zhanting Imprisoned

Mr. Hu Zhanting has been imprisoned in Jinzhou Prison since August 22, 2016.

11. [Sihui City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Lingyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Lingyan, in her 40s, was arrested on August 26, 2016.

12. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Suqin and Ms. Fu were arrested on August 23, 2016, when they were telling people about Falun Gong in Zhangwu County. They are being held in the Xindi Detention Center.

13. [Dangshan County, Anhui Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Jin of Liangli Town was arrested at home on August 18, 2016, by officers from Dangshan County Domestic Security Division. They confiscated his Falun Gong materials. They also arrested Mr. Wang's father, but released him on the way back to their office. Mr. Wang's whereabouts is unknown.

Mr. Zhang Dengding was arrested on August 27, 2016 by Dangshan County Domestic Security Division officers.

14. [Suining County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Tong Dejun Arrested

Mr. Tong Dejun of Qingchun Village, Suicheng Town, was arrested on August 23, 2016, by officers from Suining County Domestic Security Division. His whereabouts is unknown.

15. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yuhong was arrested on August 26, 2016. She was on her way home after a business trip to Beian City. Her whereabouts is unknown.

16. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Qiubing Detained

Mr. Li Qiubing was arrested on August 26, 2016, by officers from Yuhua District Domestic Security Division and Yuxiang Police Station. His home was ransacked. He was given 12 days of detention and now in a detention center.

17. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Xue of Jianchangying Village in the Yuanbaoshan District and Ms. Wang Shulian of Nanmiao Village were arrested on the afternoon of August 29, 2016, by officers of Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. They are being held in the Chaoyang City Detention Center.
