(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in our area created outdoor display boards about the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party who launched the devastating persecution of Falun Gong. Within six months, we went out about a dozen times and mounted more than 100 boards. During the process, we went from being nervous to being stable and calm. We improved a lot during this experience and would like to share our insights.
Improving Xinxing and Widening the Path
At first, a few practitioners went out to search for good places to put up the boards, and then we did our first round of installing them. I noticed that our states of mind were not stable, and when we checked the boards the next day, some had already fallen down.
We thus began to look inward for our omissions. We cultivated our xinxing, and eliminated our attachments to fear, which were causing us to rush through the process of installing the boards. Meanwhile, we also read the Minghui website, where we found experience-sharing articles to help us fully understand the importance of our project. This strengthened our resolve to do well.
We began to be more mindful, and nailed up the display boards more securely. Also, another practitioner who was proficient at the task joined us. As a result, our boards stayed affixed to walls for a long time and had a nice appearance.
With the improvement of our xinxing, we developed a way of tying the boards to structures, and we chose the most appropriate method in each instance, depending on circumstances.
Coming Together as One Body
The process of putting up the information boards was also a process of our local practitioners coming together as one.
Before we took on this project, we talked, and concluded that it would be negative to think that the boards would be removed not long after we hung them. We also reminded each other to put our hearts into what we were doing and to maintain righteous thoughts, so the messages on the boards would have the desired effect.
From then on, before we headed out, we asked Teacher for help and to empower us, and we sent forth righteous thoughts together.
We worked as a team, with some practitioners putting up boards, and others sending forth righteous thoughts. Because of the power of our collective efforts, the number of boards rose quickly, from five to twenty, and they stayed in place very well.
We shared our experiences with other practitioners and encouraged them to join us. We gave suggestions to the practitioners tasked with making the boards, to make them more attractive, and our suggestions were well received.
Our xinxing improved as a whole.
Pressing for More Truth-clarification
When we checked a new area’s board placements, we discovered that how long the boards stayed up depended on how well the practitioners in the area were doing with truth clarification. One board was up for about four months, one for nearly three months, and the third for almost a month. We felt strong energy fields in all three places.
We put the first board up on the main road of an industrial zone. Many workers, in cars and on foot, pass by every day. Two practitioners from our group have often handed out truth-clarification materials there. They have also helped people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and have collected signatures supporting the efforts to bring Jiang to justice. The people there show great respect for Dafa.
The second display board is at a supermarket in a suburban area, where many practitioners have often talked to shoppers about the persecution.
The third board was placed on a trailer house that was on a main road. Two practitioners passed by it almost every day, and sent forth righteous thoughts each time they went by. To empower the board, they have the thought, “People who would destroy this board cannot see it. This is only for those who can accept the truth.” Though the house was later moved, the board is still there.
After we realized what worked, we decided to combine the efforts of putting up boards and handing out truth-clarification materials. Our next step is to hand out informational materials in places where the boards did not stay long, so as to better save the people in those locations.
