(Minghui.org) After reading the article “Donating Money to Production Sites Cannot Be Exchanged for Virtue” on Minghui.org, it made me think of a situation that I am aware of regarding material production sites in China.
Master has talked about letting materials production sites blossom throughout China in several of his lectures. However, there are many reasons for practitioners not being able to do this, and so some choose to contribute money to help maintain the sites instead.
Not the Correct Behavior of a Practitioner
Some practitioners spend a lot of time and energy working on the production sites and don’t have the time or inclination to earn a living, so they just use the money provided by others to help support them.
In my understanding, this is not the correct behavior of a Dafa practitioner.
There are also practitioners who do not go out to distribute Dafa materials, and create excuses to justify themselves. They do however, rely on others to regularly supply them with Minghui Weekly and other Dafa materials.
The practitioners to which I refer, are able to create their own materials production sites, but just seem to want to concentrate on studying the Fa, doing the exercises, sending forth righteous thoughts, and only get involved in a bit of truth clarification work.
After reading Master's new lectures they become anxious, and only then engage in what they consider worthwhile and “grand projects.”
For example, last year, some practitioners worked hard seeking monetary contributions to produce Shen Yun DVDs.
In my understanding, they have strong attachments to reaping mighty virtue from being involved in “grand projects,” concern over loss and gain, and fear that leads them to avoid taking responsibility for their cultivation.
I worry that they are far from meeting the standards of the new cosmos.
Some practitioners did set up material production sites, but they were short-lived because they were not willing to learn computer, printing and maintenance skills. They appear to be lazy and fearful that time spent on learning these skills would jeopardize their time for studying the Fa, exercises etc...
They very often rely on practitioners with technical skills to take care of even the most simplest things that they could have handled themselves. This is a great misuse of Dafa resources and manpower, and not thinking of the other practitioner they are using.
Suggested Solutions
As long as one’s condition is not too bad financially or inconvenient, one should take the initiative to set up their own materials production site and learn the basic skills to get by.
In this way, it will reduce the burden on existing production sites, and free up time for practitioners with technical skills.
If each practitioner can be responsible for their own expenses to run their own sites instead of contributing to others, this is the best way to have materials production sites blossom all over China.
Even if only a few practitioners in each area can produce a site together, it will still be of great help to other practitioners and the sentient beings waiting to be saved in that area.
This my understanding at my current cultivation level.
