Additional Persecution News from China – July 28, 2016 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 21 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Fourteen Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

The Bozhou City 610 Office instigated the court to secretly sentence 14 practitioners to prison, on April 11, 2016, with terms ranging from three to ten years. The 14 practitioners are: Mr. Fu Mingyi, Ms. Li Dongmei, Ms. Bai Jie, Mr. Wang Shoulue, Mr. Zhu Shaojun, Mr. Li Haifeng, Mr. Cui Yong, Ms. Wang Junzhi, Ms. Tang Jialing, Ms. Zhao Sulan, Ms. Zhang Sumei, Ms. Jiang Yuehua, Ms. Jia Hongjuan, and Ms. Zhu Fengmin.

The male practitioners were taken to the Suzhou Prison on June 18, 2016. The female practitioners were taken to the Hefei Women's Prison on June 20, 2016.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Hong Detained

Ms. Liu Hong from the Tianqiao District was arrested by officers from the Tianqiao District Domestic Security Division when she talked to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 21, 2016. She was taken to the Wuyingshan Police Station. She is being held in a facility in Zhonggong.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gao Xia Arrested

Ms. Gao Xia was arrested by officers from the Muyu Town Police Station when she distributed Falun Gong informational materials on July 25, 2016. She was taken to Xiancheng.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Xueqing in Critical Condition

Ms. Ma Xueqing was arrested on May 2, 2016. She has been held in the Yaojia Detention Center. She has been persecuted, and her current physical condition is worrisome. She has been rushed to hospital twice. She is in critical condition.

5. [Anqing Ctiy, Anhui Province] Mr. Tian Faqing Arrested

Mr. Tian Faqing, 56, from Datong Town, Qichun County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, was arrested by officers from the Jinxi Police Station in Taihu County when he posted Falun Gong informational materials in Taihu County, Anqing City, Anhui Province on June 24, 2016. He has not returned home yet.

6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Fengyun, Ms. Liu Fengru, and Ms. Wu Chunying from Houyi Township in Yongqing County were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Bazhou City Police Department and the Xin'an Town Police Station when they talked to people about Falun Gong in Xin'an Town in Bazhou City on July 26, 2016. They were taken to the Bazhou City Detention Center. Ms. Liu Fengyun was released for health reasons after 10 p.m. that night.

7. [Greater Khingan, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gong Benhuan and Ms. Chen Huanhua Detained

Ms. Gong Benhua and Ms. Chen Huanhua were arrested by officers from the Shuguang Police Station when they hung banners on July 21, 2016. They were taken to the Jiagedaqi Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Min Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Min, 54, from Hubei Province, was displaced and came to stay in Weifang for a few years. She was arrested by officers from the No. 7 Team of the Weifang City State Security Division in August 2015. She was taken to the Weifang Detention Center. She has been sentenced to eight years in prison. She remains in the detention center.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xue Hongxiang and Ms. Sun Shufen Detained

Ms. Xue Hongxiang and Ms. Sun Shufen from Yangshulin Township in Nong'an County were arrested by officers from the Yangshulin Police Station on July 25, 2016. Both practitioners were held in the Wugongli Detention Center in Nong'an County for 10 days of detention.

10. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Lou Heying and Ms. He Yuzhen Detained

Mr. Lou Heying and Ms. He Yuzhen from Yanjin County were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of July 26, 2016. Mr. Lou was taken to Xinxiang and Ms. He is held in Yanjin.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhen Taken to Drug Rehabilitation Center

Ms. Wang Yuzhen was taken to Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center on July 13, 2016.

12. [Shijiazhaung City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Limei Arrested

Ms. Zhou Limei was arrested on her business trip by officers from the Railway Police Department of the North Shijiazhuang Railway Station at noon of July 26, 2016.

Ms. Li Huizhi, 53, was arrested by plainclothes officers when she distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Yiliang County on July 26, 2016.

14. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo was arrested by officers from the Dongliao County Police Department on July 14, 2015. The Dongliao County Court held a trial secretly against Ms. Liu on June 7, 2016. On July 21, 2016 she was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan.

15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Dai Zhongquan Detained

Mr. Dai Zhongquan from Nong'an County was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of July 21, 2016. He is being held in the Nong'an County Detention Center.

16. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Guilan Detained

Ms. Shi Guilan from Linghe Town in Anqiu City was arrested by officers from the Linghe Police Station on the morning of July 21, 2016. She was taken to the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center. She was transferred to the Weifang City Detention Center on the afternoon of July 26.

17. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Guo Hongliang Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Guo Hongliang was arrested in July 2015. He was sentenced to four years in prison in early June 2016.

18. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sheng Songgang Arrested

Mr. Sheng Songgang, from Zhuxi Village, Jiudian Town, Pingdu City, was arrested by a village director when he talked to people about Falun Gong in Sigezhuang Village, Yunshan Town. The village director grabbed Mr. Sheng's bag, and then took his electric scooter. Mr. Sheng was taken to the Yunshan Police Station.

Ms. Yang Shuhua from Shifang City was taken to the Longquanyi Prison in Chengdu City by the Prison Control Center on May 12, 2016.
