Additional Persecution News from China – July 27, 2016 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang Juhong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Juhong was arrested by officers from the Kaiyang Police Station and the Sanjiang Police Station in the Xiaohe District on July 23, 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Jianguo and Ms. Wang Shuqin Detained

Ms. Wang Jianguo and Ms. Wang Shuqin were reported when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 24, 2016. They were arrested by officers from the Congxi Police Station. Both practitioners were taken to the Handan City Detention Center for ten days of detention.

3. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Mu Zhihong Arrested

Mr. Mu Zhihong from the Dawukou District was arrested by plainclothes personnel from the neighborhood administration on the morning of July 22, 2016. He was taken to the Chaoyang Police Station and then to the Qingshan Police Station.

4. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ma. Lu Guiru Arrested

Ms. Lu Guiru was arrested by officers from the Xixing Police Station in the Binjiang District in Hangzhou on July 25, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Yuqun, Mr. Xu Yong, Mr. Xie, Ms. Li Xiaoping, Ms. Huang Xia, Mr. Zhou Ziyu, and two other practitioners were arrested and taken to the Jinyang Police Station on the afternoon of July 23, 2016. Three practitioners were released after being extorted of 2,000 yuan each.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Bi Shuxiang and Ms. Wang Jingxia Detained

Ms. Bi Shuxiang and Ms. Wang Jingxia from Nong'an Town in Nong'an County were arrested by officers from the Gucheng Police Station in Nong'an Town when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 24, 2016. Both practitioners were taken to the Nong'an County Detention Center for ten days of detention.

7. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Haibo Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wu Haibo was tried by the Xiashan District Court on April 21, 2016. He was sentenced to a five-year prison term in June. Mr. Wu has appealed to the Zhanjiang City Intermediate Court.

Mr. Huang Dianwen from Helong Town in Nong'an County was arrested by officers from the Helong Town Police Station on July 21, 2016. He was taken to the Nong'an County Detention Center.

9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chen Jianxun and two other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Hexing Police Station when they were posting Falun Gong informational display boards in Hexing Town on July 26, 2016. Mr. Ding, in his eighties, has returned home.

10. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Suxian Arrested

Ms. Liu Suxian was arrested at home by officers from the Gebu Police Station on the morning of July 22, 2016. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, over 600 Falun Gong symbols, a card cutter, a notching machine, and a paper cutter.

11. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Yuanzhi and Ms. Zheng Weili Arrested

Ms. Xu Yuanzhi, 65, and Ms. Zheng Weili, 54, from the Wendeng District were arrested by officers from the Dashuibo Town Police Station when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 26, 2016. Their homes were ransacked.

12. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Xianfeng and Ms. Ran Qiongying Detained

Ms. Jiang Xianfeng, 60, was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 21, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Wanyaoshu Detention Center.

Ms. Ran Qiongying, in her sixties, was arrested by Cui Fuli and other officers on the same day. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the detention center.
