(Minghui.org) I am a veteran practitioner who resumed practicing Falun Dafa in 2012. I have been telling people the facts about Falun Gong to raise awareness about the persecution of the practice.

Clarifying the truth is an important responsibility for every Dafa practitioner, but at first I was anxious about talking to people about the practice. I was afraid to say that I had resumed practicing Falun Gong, and it seemed difficult to persuade people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I simply dropped off some informational flyers or materials or spoke about Falun Gong as briefly as possible.

Then I began to talk to my relatives and my former and current co-workers about Falun Gong. They knew how the practice had helped me regain my health and that I am kind, so they usually reacted positively to what I had to say.

I often remember what Master said:

“Clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings are what you need to accomplish. There is nothing else for you to accomplish. There is nothing else in this world that you need to accomplish.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)

Realizing that truth-clarification is our sacred responsibility in the Fa-rectification period, I started going out every day to different villages and down different streets on my bike. I always have informational materials with me so that I can give them to people I meet, even when I am grocery shopping.

I have now been able to do this for several years, without any interference from the police, thanks to Master's protection and arrangements. And I often get positive feedback. Something essential I’ve learned is that we can only save people by validating the Fa, not ourselves.

Master said,

“Nobody can manipulate Dafa disciples who have righteous thoughts and righteous actions.” (Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Lantern Festival)

I was at a farmers market once, talking to a vegetable vendor about Falun Gong. I gave her a few brochures, and she started to read some of them aloud: “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Many people stopped what they were doing and listened.

A 50-year-old man was the vendor in the stall next to her. He yelled at me, “Hey, you, Falun Gong follower! Aren't you afraid the CCP will arrest you?”

“They should be afraid of me,” I smiled. “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. Evil cannot suppress what is right. One righteous thought can suppress a hundred evils.”

“I am going to call the police to come get you!” he said as he pulled out his cellphone. He said into the phone, “I am the vendor in booth 20 at the market. An old guy here is a Falun Gong follower. You should come arrest him.”

I wasn't afraid at all. My thoughts were righteous and strong. I simply looked at him and did not do a thing.

I paid the female vendor for my purchase and moved over to the male vendor. Smiling, I asked “Why haven't the police arrived yet?”

He smiled back, “It was just a joke.”

“I knew it was a joke,” I replied. “Now, how should I address you?”

“My family name is Chen,” he said.

“Mine is, too,” I said. “We probably descended from the same ancestors 500 years ago.”

I asked him how his business was doing. He told me that it was not going well, so I asked him if he wanted his business to thrive. He said, “Of course.”

I said, “Please treat Falun Dafa and its practitioners kindly, and you will be blessed.” I explained to him why he should quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and gave him some informational materials. He read aloud, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” In the end, he asked me to help him withdraw from the Party.

Witnessing the changes in this man, who had initially threatened to report me to the police, I was deeply moved. He now had a look of joy on his face.

It was the unbelievable power of Falun Dafa and the great benevolence of Master Li that saved this man. I have also understood that our ability to clarify the truth does not appear overnight, but develops through serious and diligent cultivation.
