Additional Persecution News from China – June 19, 2016 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Meixin Detained

Ms. Wang Meixin, 30, was arrested when she delivered a letter with Falun Gong information to the office where police officers were on duty at the Beigandao Police Station on June 6, 2016. The officers confiscated 68 copies of Falun Gong books and printed materials. She is being held in the Longquanyi District Detention Center.

2. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jianmei and Gu Sufen Arrested

Ms. Li Jianmei and Ms. Gu Sufen from Zhuolu County were arrested by officers from the Zhuolu County 610 Office when they talked to people about Falun Gong on June 15, 2016. Both were taken to the Zhuolu County Domestic Security Division in the Police Department. They were released after their families were forced to write guarantees.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Jianguo Detained

Mr. Yang Jianguo, from Dianzi Village, Zhuge Town, Yishui County, was reported when he talked to people about Falun Gong on June 14, 2016. He was arrested by officers from the Linshu County Police Station. He is being held in the Linshu Detention Center.

4. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Haohong's Husband Arrested

Ms. Wang Haohong was supposed to be released from the Jinan Women's Prison on June 14, 2016. Her husband went to the prison to meet her that day. He was arrested by officers from the Zhaoyuan 610 Office. His whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Lixin and Ms. Shao Wenhui Arrested

Ms. Chen Lixin and Ms. Shao Wenhui from Qinglong County were arrested by officers from the Kuancheng County Domestic Security Division and the Yuerya Police Station when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Kuancheng County in Chengde City on the evening of June 16, 2016. Two cars were confiscated and their homes ransacked.

6. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Jingquan and Wife Ms. Liu Jinru Arrested

Mr. Zhang Jingquan and his wife Ms.Liu Jinru from Lishu County were arrested by officers from the Lishu County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on the morning of June 16, 2016. The officers confiscated 160,000 yuan in cash, printed materials, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Liu was seriously injured. Mr. Zhang was detained in a detention center.

7. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Qinghua Arrested

Mr. Zhao Qinghua from the Longyuan Neighborhood was arrested by officers from the 610 Office of the Zhucheng City Police Department while he was telling people about Falun Gong on June 16, 2016. His home was ransacked.

8. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jianjian Arrested

Mr. Wang Jianjian was arrested on the afternoon of June 12, 2016.

9. [Yizheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhu Chengxia Detained

Ms. Zhu Chengxia was notified, and went to the Chengbei police station on December 10, 2015 for verifying her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese Communist Party leader who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. She was arrested and taken to the Yangmiao Women's Detention Center in Yangzhou City.

10. [Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cao Kuang Arrested

Mr. Cao Kuang, from Caoqiao Team, Xuezhuang Village, Tushan Town, was arrested by officers from the Pizhou City 610 Office on June 13, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Zhang Licheng was taken to a brainwashing center on June 13, 2016.
